John Morrison and The Miz defeated CM Punk and Kofi Kingston at a non televised event in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada when The Miz pinned Kofi Kingston after "The Reality Check" to become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions.

In this Dark Match, it was a Non Title Tag Team Match. John Morrison pinned Jesse after the "Moonlight Drive" to win the match for his team.

At "Armageddon" 2008, it was Batista vs. Randy Orton and it was to determine which superstar of the two is the better man. Batista won the match when he pinned Randy Orton after a "Batista Bomb". On Raw the next night, it was John Cena and Batista would take on Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Manu in a Two on Three Handicap Match. John Cena and Batista would win the match via disqualification when Randy Orton pushed the referee.

This match was also a Santa's Little Helpers Match where the babyface (good) divas would dress in red for Santa Claus and the heel (bad) divas would dress in green for elves. Michelle McCool pinned Jillian Hall after "The Styles Clash". After the match, The Great Khali came out to the ring and he was hosting the "Khali's Kiss Cam".

The Great Khali was going to kiss Michelle McCool, but she refused and left the ring. Then, Ranjin Singh said that he can kiss Mickie James, Maria, and Kelly Kelly, but then said he had somebody better in mind. Mae Young came to the ring and was dressed in red for Santa Claus.

She kissed The Great Khali, while Mickie James, Maria, and Kelly Kelly celebrated their victory in the ring with Mae Young, The Great Khali, and Ranjin Singh. Michelle McCool made a complete heel (bad) turn which begun at "Armageddon" 2008.

John Cena won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at "Survivor Series" 2008 in his return match from an injury and defeated Chris Jericho after an "F-U". John Cena was defending his newly won WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho in a rematch from "Survivor Series" 2008. John Cena retained his WWE World Heavyweight Championship after he made Chris Jericho submit to the "STFU". On "Raw" the next night, it was announced that the next week on "Raw", there would be four Singles Matches between all former WWE World Heavyweight Champions.

It would be Rey Mysterio taking on John "Bradshaw" Layfield, CM Punk taking on Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels taking on Kane, and Batista taking on Randy Orton. The winners of them matches would face each other in two weeks on "Raw" in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match.

The winner of the Fatal Four Way Elimination Match would then become the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and would then challenge John Cena for the title at the "Royal Rumble" 2009 Pay Per View.

In the main event of "Armageddon" 2008, it was Edge defending the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against both Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Vladimir Kozlov interfered in the match and Matt Hardy came to the ring to make the save and attack Vladimir Kozlov.

The match ended when Triple H delivered the "Pedigree" on Edge and went for the cover, then Jeff Hardy delivered a "Swanton Bomb" onto Edge and Triple H. Jeff Hardy then pinned Edge to make history and become the WWE Champion for the first time in his entire professional wrestling career.
