The character Walter Langowski tried to recreated the accident that turned Bruce Banner into the Hulk, and instead sprouted hair all over his body and became the Sasquatch.

Sgt. Canuck was created in 1941 when he first appeared on the cover of "Big Bang Comics" #5 while punching a a character named The Skull.
He was a Canadian version of Captain America, and the villain was a take on Red Skull.
Sgt. Canuck was created during a time when American comics were not allowed to be imported to Canada.
3. The Polka Dot Pirate

Ross Mendes created the character in 1946.
She was the protector of Queen City, and the books were published by Belle Features.
No known copies of her comics existed into the 21st century.
4. Puck

Alpha Flight was an entire team of Canadian superheroes. They debuted in the titular comic in 1983.
John Byrne was the writer/artist on the Marvel Comics title.
Eugene Judd, or Puck, was a dwarf who had super powers. It was his relationship with fellow canuck Wolverine that helped him become the break out star of the title.

The Quebec-born Steve Ketchup, was raised by polish immigrants before he moved to Detroit, Michigan and joined the F.B.I.
He developed superpowers when he was exposed to tainted drugs while on a case. The drug combination made him nearly invincible.

6. Northguard

Northguard's origins are fun. He wears a personal weapons system that was created by a secret think tank. The system was designed for a secret agent, but he was killed before it was given to him. Instead it was given to a video store clerk and comic book fan who had the same brain waves as the secret agent.
7. Captain Canuck

The character looks a lot like The Guardian, of the "Alpha Flight" books, but they are only similar in appearance.
"Captain Canuck" #1 came out in 1975 and was written and illustrated by Richard Comely and Ron Leishman. It was set in the "distant" future of 1993.
The character was first printed by Comely Comix, but has been reprinted by many companies over the years.
8. Northstar
Answer: "Uncanny X-Men" #120
Comic books legends John Byrne and Chris Clairmont co-created Northstar while they were working together on "Uncanny X-Men". Issue 120 was released in 1979.
Jean-Paul Beaubier and his twin sister Aurora both first appeared in this book, but would go on to gain popularity as members of Alpha Flight.
In later years Northstar became a member of the X-Men and was one half of the first gay marriage in Marvel Comics history.
9. Wolverine

Wolverine was created by Roy Thomas, Len Wein, and John Romita, Sr. in 1974.
His first appearance was as a member of a secretive Canadian government special ops team.
He was intended to be a one-off character to battle the Hulk, but shortly after their battle, he joined the X-Men as the Canadian member when the team started being advertised as an international group of heroes.
10. Deadpool

Deadpool was created in 1990 by Rob Liefeld for Marvel Comics. Deadpool, or Wade Wilson, was a take off of Deadshot, or Slade Wilson, a character in DC Comics.
Despite his origins as a joke character, he became one of the most popular characters in comics.
His exact place of birth has left as a mystery, instead only listed as somewhere in Canada.
