Bruce Banner would turn into the Incredible Hulk when he would lose his temper. His green skin was his trademark. Due to his volatile temper he made enemies with villians and superheroes alike. Bill Bixby portrayed David Banner in the television series "The Incredible Hulk".

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby as one of the original members of the Fantastic Four, the Thing had an alias of Ben Grimm. At different times, he faced off against the Hulk, the Black Panther and Doctor Doom among others. He became so popular in the 1980s that he was awarded his own comic book line from 1983-1986.

In the beginning of the story, Firestorm is a result of a nuclear accident that allowed two people, Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein, to fuse into one person, the Nuclear Man. The success of the character with Marvel comics received a much needed shot in the arm in the early 1980s as Frank Miller took over. The popularity of the character increased in terms of sales. Ben Affleck played the role of the superhero in "Daredevil" in 2003.
