In order to participate in this match you needed to be a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and Brian Kendrick never had the WWE Cruiserweight Championship as of January 29, 2006. Paul London, Funaki, and Gregory Helms have held the title before and Helms held it under the alias of The Hurricane.

2. Which of the following competitors in The Cruiserweight Open Invitational was from "Raw"?

Answer: Gregory Helms

This match had six people in all. It consisted of Kid Kash (champion), Funaki, Gregory Helms, Nunzio, Paul London, and Jamie Noble. This was a very entertaining match. It was over when Helms hit "The Shining Wizard" on Funaki and pinned for the win. Tajiri was in Japan wrestling at this point and Chavo Guerrero was in the "Royal Rumble" Match and Jamie Noble was on "Smackdown", but in the match.

After, Helms won the title, he officially became a "Smackdown" superstar.

Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Rob Van Dam were all the Final Four in the "Royal Rumble". Shawn Michaels was eliminated shortly before this. Rey Mysterio and Triple H lasted the whole match since they drew numbers 1 and 2. Rob Van Dam came in later and Orton was last being number 30. Van Dam was eliminated after Triple H irish whipped Mysterio into Van Dam who was on the top turnbuckle. Triple H was eliminated by Mysterio with a "hurricanrana" and Orton was eliminated the same way later on in the match by Mysterio. Mysterio won the oppurtunity to go for the World Heavyweight Championship at "Wrestlemania 22"!
