The man known as The Undertaker was born in 1965 as Mark Calaway, the fifth and youngest son of an Irish and Native American Family. Given his height and athletic ability he was a standout High School Basketball star, later he played College Basketball for Texas Wesleyan University. From there he began wrestling for Fritz Von Erich's WCCW where he was known as Red Jack and had a brief feud with the late Bruiser Brody.

Mark Calaway caught his big break as a wrestler when he joined WCW in early 1990 where he was instantly paired with Danny Spivey as a member of "The Skyscrapers". Calaway filled the void left when Sid Vicious suffered a punctured lung and was forced out of action in late 1989.

The two feuded with the legendary Road Warriors before Spivey left the promotion in March 1990. From there Calaway was repackaged as "Mean Mark Callous", took on Paul E Dangerously as a manager and briefly feuded with then United States Champion Lex Luger.

Eventually it was announced that the two would battle at the 1992 "Survivor Series" in a "Coffin Match" where the winner was the first to place his opponent inside a coffin. To get a psychological edge The Undertaker began appearing at ringside with a personalized coffin for Kamala which filled him with so much anxiety he would flee the ring in terror during his bouts.

Due to an injury, The Undertaker was forced to take some time off after dropping a "Casket Match" to WWF Heavyweight Champion Yokozuna at the 1994 "Royal Rumble". That spring Ted Dibiase proclaimed he had inked a deal with "The Deadman" and shortly thereafter another Undertaker made his debut.

It was apparent however that this Undertaker was not the real deal and soon the real one reemerged from the shadows. "Prime Time" Brian Lee best known for his later stints in ECW and as Chainz in The Disciples of Apocalypse portrayed the fake Undertaker.

The two actually met at "Summerslam '94" in the climax of one of the worst angles ever.

On August 18, 1996 at "Summerslam '96" the two met in a wild match called a "Boiler Room Brawl".

It was on that fateful night that The Undertaker's longtime friend, manager and confidant Paul Bearer betrayed him. Late in the match Bearer struck The Undertaker with his own urn, thus signaling a new alliance with Mankind.

The end of an era had happened and fans were aghast.

Then Mideon, then Viscera and finally Edge, Christian and Gangrel aka "The Brood". The faction wreaked havoc and will forever be remembered for helping their master literally lynch The Big Boss Man at the conclusion of a "Hell in a Cell" match at "Wrestlemania XV".

For weeks vignettes aired on "Raw" of this stalker using a video distorted voice, watching Sara doing errands and around her home. Finally in June 2001 the stalker was revealed to be none other than Diamond Dallas Page who had a brief feud with The Undertaker that summer.

Ric Flair, King Kong Bundy, Jake Roberts, CM Punk, Edge, Mark Henry and Randy Orton have all succumbed to The Undertaker at this annual WWF gala event. Kane and the incomparable Shawn Michaels have both been trumped twice at the flagship show but the honor of the triple play ironically goes to Triple H. Triple H despite being one of the greatest stars of the past fifteen years has lost three times to The Undertaker in 2001, 2011 and 2012. No other wrestler alive can say they have bested "The Game" three times at "Wrestlemania" so put that in your pipe and smoke it!
