The match between Brock Lesnar and The Big Show was to determine who would enter the "Royal Rumble," since there was only one slot available. Show was accompanied to the ring by Paul Heyman, and Lesnar entered the ring by himself. Lesnar and Show went at it, with Show dominating in the first few minutes of the match, then when he began to lose power, Lesnar began dominating. But, when Heyman interfered, Lesnar lost sight of the match, which allowed Show to hit Lesnar with the "Chokeslam." However, Lesnar wasn't finished, for he kicked out at two.

He regained his leverage and finally defeated the big behemoth with the "F5."

The WWE Tag Team Champions, Lance Storm and William Regal, faced off against The Dudley Boyz for the titles. Storm and Regal were searched, in case they had brass knuckles, but the referee didn't find the illegal weapons. As the match began, D-Von was dominating, but fell victim to Storm and Regal, who kept him away from tagging in Bubba. Finally, D-Von was able to tag in Bubba, and he cleared house. Just then, the Chief of Staff, Sean Morely, ran down to the ring and tried to interfere and the referee tried to stop him, but Bubba knocked him off the apron.

As this was happening, Regal grabbed a pair of brass knuckles (that weren't found during the body search) and went after D-Von, but D-Von ducked out of the way. In split second timing, Bubba turned around and he and D-Von hit Regal with the "3D." Immediately, as the referee was still detained by Morely, D-Von grabbed the brass knuckles off of Regal's hand and put them on his own and punched Storm, knocking him out. D-Von removed the brass knuckles from his own hand and put them in his pocket as the referee ran over to count Storm out. Regal and Storm lost, but hopefully learned a valuable lesson.

Answer: Torrie

Dawn Marie Wilson faced off against Torrie Wilson in a Stepmother vs. Stepdaughter Match. This match came about when Dawn married Torrie's father, Al Wilson. On their honeymoon in Hawaii, Al passed away from a heart attack, and during his viewing, Dawn blamed Torrie for her father's death.

As the match started, the hatred between these two women could be felt throughout the arena. Dawn was dominating in the beginning, but the tide soon turned to Torrie's favor. Torrie won when she hit Dawn with a downward spiral and pinned her for the win.

Answer: The Hurricane and Trish Stratus

The Hurricane and Trish Stratus were hosting the "Royal Rumble" live at The World in New York City.

Answer: Scott Steiner

Triple H, who was accompanied to the ring by Ric Flair, faced off against "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner. This match was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Before the match began, referee Earl Hebner told Triple H, Steiner, and Flair that he wasn't going to put up with any of their tricks.

He said that he was aware of the things that they did. The match began with Steiner dominating, but when Flair started interfering out of sight of the referee, Triple H began dominating. After a long and brutal match, and with Triple H cut open and bleeding, Hunter grabbed a sledgehammer and attacked Steiner. Triple H was disqualified for using the sledgehammer, but Steiner wasn't going to let him get away that easy.

After he won by disqualification, Steiner grabbed the sledgehammer and went after Triple H, finally ending it by placing Triple H in the "Steiner Recliner" submission hold.

It took several referees to make Steiner release the broken champion.

Answer: Chris Benoit

Kurt Angle, who was accompanied to the ring by Team Angle (Charlie Haas and Shelten Benjamin), faced off against Chris Benoit for the WWE Championship. Team Angle refused to let Benoit anywhere near Angle. The referee made Haas and Benjamin leave the ring and banned them from ringside.

When the match began, it was very intense. Benoit hit Angle with the "Crippler Crossface" numerous times, and Angle hit Benoit with the "Ankle Lock" quite a few times. However, as with all great matches, this one came to an end when Angle hit Benoit with the "Ankle Lock" and this time locked it in place. Benoit was forced to submit.

After the match, Benoit received a standing ovation.

Answer: Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Chris Nowinski, and Rey Mysterio

The "Rumble" began with contestants Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, contestants 1 and 2 respectively, entering the ring. The bell was sounded and Michaels and Jericho began to fight. Jericho, wanting to do some damage to Michaels, slid out from under the bottom rope of the ring, and grabbed a steel chair.

He re-entered the ring and slammed the chair into Michaels' head, cutting him open. After two minutes, Chris Nowinski came to ringside but did not enter the ring. He told Jericho to finish what he was doing. Jericho continued to assault Michaels, and finally put Michaels over the top rope and the referees helped him from ringside. Michaels was injured and eliminated.

After two minutes, Rey Mysterio came to ringside and entered the ring. Mysterio and Jericho went at it, and when Jericho sidelined Mysterio, Nowinski felt it was time to enter the ring, and tried to eliminate Mysterio, but failed in his attempt to do so.

Answer: Edge, Christian, Chavo Guerrero, and Tajiri

While Nowinski, Jericho, and Mysterio were battling it out in the ring, and trying to eliminate each other, Edge came to the ring. He and Mysterio immediately paired up and went after Jericho and Nowinski. However, after their beating, Jericho and Nowinski retreated from the ring, via the bottom rope, and laid low until they felt it was safe.

As soon as they did this, Edge and Mysterio began going after each other. After two minutes, Christian entered the ring and tried to pair up with Edge, but Edge wasn't taking the bait. Mysterio and Edge went after Christian, and as this was going on, Jericho and Nowinski decided to re-enter the ring. Nowinski decided to try to eliminate Mysterio, but instead was eliminated himself.

After two minutes, Chavo Guerrero entered the ring and was immediately assaulted by Mysterio. Jericho and Christian paired up for a while, but then turned on each other.

After mixing it up with the other participants, Jericho was successful in eliminating Rey Mysterio. After two minutes, Tajiri entered the ring and went for Chavo.

The Japanese Buzzsaw was laying it into anyone who came near him.

Answer: Bill DeMott, Tommy Dreamer, B-2, and Rob Van Dam

After two minutes, Bill DeMott entered entered the ring. He immediately began going after the smaller guys, but Tajiri went on the offensive and started chopping away at this so-called dangerous man. After two minutes, Tommy Dreamer, complete with weapons, entered the ring.

He began using a Kendo stick as he tried to eliminate different individuals. He and DeMott went at it, but then DeMott began going after Edge. Finally, Edge cracked DeMott with a Kendo stick, and knocked him over the top rope, effectively eliminating him. Just then, Jericho began assaulting Dreamer, and finally tossed him over the top rope, eliminating him.

After two minutes, B-2 entered the ring, and was immediately attacked, but he threw off his attackers and began going after Edge, Christian, and Jericho. Jericho got away from the beating B-2 was giving him and went after Tajiri.

After a brief battle, Jericho tossed the Japanese Buzzsaw over the top rope, eliminating him. After two minutes, Rob Van Dam entered the ring and began chopping away at his opponents.

As Van Dam was battling it out with Christian, Edge eliminated B-2. Jericho, who had been going at it with Chavo, tossed him over the top rope, eliminating him.

Answer: Matt Hardy, Eddie Guerrero, Jeff Hardy, Rosey

After two minutes, Matt Hardy entered the ring and began going after Edge. While this was going on, the other wrestlers were battling it out amongst themselves. After two minutes, Eddie Guerrero entered the mass of wrestlers. Then Jericho teamed up with Matt, and together they were assaulting Edge. Edge began fighting back, and he and Jericho went at it. Jericho then flipped Edge over the top rope, eliminating him.

Then Jericho went after Christian, and tossed him over the top rope. After two minutes, Jeff Hardy entered the ring, and he and Van Dam went at it.

Then Rosey (of Three Minute Warning) entered the ring and got right into the battle.

Answer: Test, John Cena, Charlie Haas, and Rikishi

After two minutes, Test entered the fray and went after Rosey. The other wrestlers, namely Jericho, began assaulting Test. After two minutes John Cena made his appearance. He performed a rap song for one and a half minutes, then he entered the ring and joined the battle. Thirty seconds later, Charlie Haas (of Team Angle) entered the ring and went after Eddie Guerrero.

After two minutes, Rikishi entered the ring and went after John Cena. Jeff Hardy, who was doing quite well, went to the top rope in order to do a "Swanton Bomb" on Van Dam, but Van Dam got up and pushed him off the ring post, eliminating him.

After two minutes, Jamal (of Three Minute Warning) entered the ring, and he and Rosey joined forces and started going after the other wrestlers. After two minutes, Kane entered the ring and for a while, he and Van Dam teamed up, and went after Test, Jericho, Jamal, and Rosey.

After two minutes, Shelten Benjamin (of Team Angle) joined the fray, and he and Haas joined forces, going after Eddie Guerrero, Test, and Kane. After two minutes, Booker T entered the ring and went after Jamal. Booker was able to get in a royal "Spinaroonie."

Answer: A-Train, Maven, Goldust, and Batista

After two minutes, A-Train entered the ring and went after Eddie Guerrero, however, he was seized upon by Kane. After two minutes, Maven entered the ring and joined the fray. In the mean time, Kane tossed Rosey over the top rope, eliminating him, and Booker T eliminated Eddie Guerrero.

After two minutes, Goldust entered the ring and he and Booker joined forces and went after Jamal. After two minutes, Batista entered the ring, and he and Kane immediately went to the mat.

Answer: Test

Chris Jericho entered the "Rumble" at number two, and lasted until A-Train came out. Then, a bloody Shawn Michaels came down to the ring and entered. He then tossed Jericho over the top rope, eliminating him. Although Michaels was officially eliminated in the beginning of the match, Jericho's elimination still stood.

Answer: Brock Lesnar and Undertaker

After two minutes, Brock Lesnar entered the ring and went after A-Train. Meanwhile, Haas eliminated Goldust, and Benjamin and Haas both eliminated Booker T. As this was going on, Batista and Test were fighting, and it ended with Batista tossing Test over the ropes, eliminating him.

Then Batista went for Rikishi and the two men got it on, but it ended with Batista eliminating Rikishi. Matt Hardy then joined forces with Haas and Benjamin and went after Brock Lesnar, but Lesnar fought them off and eliminated all three.

After two minutes, The Undertaker, who returned from a four month absence, entered the ring. Taker went on a vendetta and began pounding on everyone in sight. Taker eliminated John Cena, Jamal, and Maven within a few minutes of entering the ring. Meanwhile, Kane eliminated A-Train, and for good measure eliminated Van Dam. Batista then slid out from under the bottom ropes, and grabbed a chair to use against The Undertaker.

When Batista re-entered the ring, The Undertaker was prepared and clotheslined him over the top rope, chair and all.

Then, in a rare moment of brotherly love, The Undertaker and Kane shook hands, and then just as suddenly Undertaker tossed Kane over the top rope, eliminating him. There were just two wrestlers left, Undertaker and Lesnar. The two men fought for a few minutes, but then Lesnar rushed Undertaker and, catching him by surprise, knocked him over the top rope, eliminating him. Undertaker sat up on the outside of the ring and smiled. He then got up and re-entered the ring and shook Lesnar's hand. Brock Lesnar, in less then a year won the "Royal Rumble."
