Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did Phineas and Ferb build in this episode?

Answer: A rollercoaster

Yes, that's right! They built a rollercoaster. The other three answer choices are also things they've built in other episodes. They built a replica of Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" out of papier-mâché in the episode "De Plane! De Plane!". They make a giant wading pool for their mom in "Bee Day", which she sadly never sees.

They've built multiple spaceships across the summer, including the rocket they took to the moon in "Moon Farm", the rocket ship they took to visit their shooting star milkshake bar in "Out To Launch", and the replacement spaceship that Ferb built for Meap in "The Chronicles of Meap".
2. What was Dr. Doofenshmirtz's scheme in this episode?

Answer: Attempting to reverse the rotation of the earth with tin foil and a giant magnet

"Well, that didn't work. And now we have a two-ton ball of tin foil going at 200 miles a hour heading directly at us!"
-Doofenshmirtz after realizing that his plan was slightly flawed. Emphasis on "slightly."

To give a little more information, Doofenshmirtz actually took a regular magnet and amplified its power using his magnetism magnifier. What's interesting here is that Perry didn't even have to do anything to stop Doofenshmirtz, since his scheme was doomed from the start. Incidentally, this scene ends up as one of the catalysts for Danville becoming a gloomy, fascist regime in "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo". In that episode, instead of Perry successfully avoiding the tin foil ball and attaching the magnetism apparatus to the helicopter, he misses his grappling hook shot because Candace from the future busts Phineas and Ferb, which results in Linda calling all the local emergency agencies to save the boys, causing the helicopter to divert its course. This injures Perry so that he can't fight Doofenshmirtz, and this, coupled with a few other key events, allows him to actually take over the entire Tri-State Area! Fortunately, Candace from the future ends up realizing she made a mistake and changes the timeline back to the good one.
3. Who said this iconic line: "What do you mean you can see it from your house? See what?!"

Answer: Candace

If you answered "Stacy" for this one, you're not far off! She was the one who told Candace over the phone that she could see the boys' invention, to which Candace replied with, "What do you mean you can see it from your house? See what?!"
4. How does Phineas and Ferb's creation disappear when Candace tries to show it to her mom at the grocery store?

Answer: A helicopter picks it up.

While the rollercoaster car does eventually get carried away by an airplane, that happens later in the episode! And, while Doofenshmirtz's invention doesn't destroy it, it does help the helicopter pick up the entire rollercoaster frame!
5. What is the name of Doofenshmirtz's invention?

Answer: Magnetism Magnifier

This is the first episode in the series where Doofenshmirtz doesn't name his invention with the usual -inator suffix! And, while I did add in "The Ultimate Phineas and Ferb Rollercoaster Destroyerinator" option as mostly a joke, there are -inators he HAS built with even longer names! A couple that come to mind are the "Platypus Secret Agent Arrival In Order to Foil My Evil Plot Capture-inator" from "Backyard Aquarium", and the "Giant Robotic Penguin Icy Freeze Your Socks Off Breath-inator" from "Bowl-R-Ama Drama".

He has, however, never named an -inator after Phineas and Ferb!
6. Which of these characters is not introduced (not seen) in this episode?

Answer: Buford

The first time we see Buford is actually in the episode after this one, "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror"! All the other characters listed here make their first appearance in this episode. Isabella opens the gate to stare at Phineas with hearts in her eyes (which, incidentally, a much older Baljeet references in "Act Your Age", saying, "When she looked at you, her pupils actually formed little hearts. Like, I do not know how that is physically possible.

She changed her eyeballs!"), Major Monogram gives Perry the first mission we see him do, and Linda assures Candace that if a satellite falls out of orbit and crashes into the house, she's in charge.
7. Is there a song in this episode, and if so, what is its name? (The small snippet of the "Perry The Platypus" theme that is played when Perry leaves his lair does not count.)

Answer: There is no song in this episode.

I feel slightly bad about including "Rollercoaster" as one of the false answer choices - while this is the name of a Phineas and Ferb song, it plays during "Rollercoaster: The Musical!", an episode from season two of the show! The other two I just made up, though I did take inspiration from the rubber snakes and mud pit the coaster goes through for "Snakes and Mud".
8. What was the first line said in this episode, making it the first ever line said in the entire show?

Answer: "So, Ferb, what do you wanna do today?"

You may have gotten tricked by the line, "I, for one, am starting to get bored, and boredom is something up with which I will not put!". This is something Phineas does say soon after his first line, but not the very first thing he said!
9. What does Isabella invite Phineas to go do with her at the beginning of the episode?

Answer: Swimming

While Isabella never does get to go swimming with Phineas in this episode (apart from the mud the rollercoaster blasts through), Phineas does splash down in her very own backyard pool in the episode "Ready for the Bettys", so, that's a win, I guess?
10. Ferb speaks his very first line in this episode. What does he say?

Answer: "They're the only mammals to lay eggs."

This was probably a tough question unless you're a Phineas and Ferb fanatic! That's because all four answer choices are things Ferb actually says at some point in the television series, except for one that I modified very slightly from what he actually says.

The three false answer choices are listed with their respective episodes: "But the internet is forever" is from the episode "Lights, Candace, Action!"; "Well I hope that's not going to be an issue" is from "It's About Time!"; and "Fun never falls too far from the tree" is modified from a line he says in "Tree to Get Ready." I changed the last word in an attempt to create a trickier answer choice, considering they do fall out of a tree near the end of the episode.

The original line is: "Fun never falls too far from the treehouse."
