Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Cruella de Vil was expelled from school. Why?

Answer: She drank ink.

I'm not sure who would want to drink ink, but Cruella did! Mrs. Dearly tells us when she hears about Cruella.
2. The Dearlys have two dalmatians. One is called Pongo, what is the other called?

Answer: Missis

Although in the film she is called Perdita, in the book her name is Missis (Missis Pongo). Perdita is the name of the foster mother that Mrs. Dearly finds to look after some of Missis' puppies.
3. Cruella de Vil has two henchmen. One is called Jasper, what is the name of the other?

Answer: Saul

If you guessed Horace, that isn't correct, again that is the name given in the Disney film. In the book it is Saul. I don't know where Disney got the idea to change this name!
4. There is one poor puppy who nearly dies at birth. What do the Dearlys name it?

Answer: Cadpig

They call it Cadpig as it is very weak. In the film, we lose Cadpig who becomes Lucky!
5. Which of the following are not one of Pongo's fifteen puppies?

Answer: Spotty

Well, Spotty may be an unoriginal name for a dalmatian, but there isn't a Spotty in this book!
6. Cruella de Vil has a husband. What is his job?

Answer: Furrier

We hear about Mr. de Vil when the Dearlys go to the de Vil's house for dinner.
7. How many puppies did Cruella gather for herself (which the Dearlys then adopted)?

Answer: 97

There were 97 puppies plus the four adults (Pongo, Missis, Perdita and Prince) makes 101!
8. When Cruella invited the Dearlys over for a meal, what did everything taste of?

Answer: Pepper

Everything, from the fish to the ice-cream tastes of pepper!
9. Who lends the dalmatians a little blue cart?

Answer: Tommy

Tommy is owned by the Old Sheepdog. He lends the cart so that Cadpig can travel without feeling too tired.
10. Who is the "Hundred and Oneth Dalmatian"?

Answer: Prince

Prince is the long-lost husband of Perdita, who appears at the very end of the book. He is lovingly adopted by the Dearlys - of course!

I hope you enjoyed my quiz!
