Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the song 'Do you Want to Build a Snowman?', Anna tries to convince her sister to play with her. What is the next line? "Do you wanna build a snowman? Come on, let's go and play I never see you anymore Come out the door"

Answer: It's like you've gone away!

"We used to be best buddies
And now we're not
I wish you would tell me why!
Do you wanna build a snowman?
It doesn't have to be a snowman."

As children, Anna begged Elsa to "do the magic". They would play, climb snow mountains and build snowmen, using snow and ice which Elsa created herself. Always being able to convince Elsa to play, Anna would ask "Do you wanna build a snowman?", inspiring this song. Although Anna was made to forget Elsa's magic, she remembered the fun they had making snowmen together.

This song was sung by Anna at three stages: aged 5, 9 and 15. She was always trying to convince Elsa to be her friend again and spend time with her, like sisters should. Elsa seemed to show annoyance at Anna's requests ("Go away, Anna!"), but we realise during the final part of the song that Elsa is suffering as much as her sister by having no contact with her.

Anna is voiced by Katie Lopez and Agatha Lee Monn as a child, and then by Kristen Bell.
2. In 'For the First Time in Forever', both Anna and Elsa sing about the palace gates opening for Elsa's coronation. While Elsa is scared about revealing her magical powers, Anna is feeling elated (or gassy!) about meeting new people, dancing and possibly meeting "the One". What does she want to do when she sees him standing there, "A beautiful stranger, tall and fair"? (What is the next line?)

Answer: Stuff some chocolate in her face.

"I suddenly see him standing there
A beautiful stranger, tall and fair
I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face!"

After being isolated for most of her childhood and especially after the death of her parents, Anna wants to finally spend some time around people. She is seen to be very excited about the music and light, and even the "eight thousand salad plates"! She dreams of finding romance, showing her whimsical, naïve character. She also mentions that there will be magic for the first time in forever - little does she know that she will actually find real magic at the ball!

There are similarities between this song and 'When Will my Life Begin?' from the film 'Tangled'. Rapunzel also has been shut away from other people and dreams of starting a new life. If you look, you will see Rapunzel and Flynn / Eugene entering the palace for the coronation.
3. Also in 'For the First Time in Forever', Elsa sings: "Conceal, don't feel Put on a show Make one wrong move And everyone will know." What is the next line, which helps Elsa feel better?

Answer: But it's only for today.

"Elsa: It's only for today!
Anna: It's only for today!
Elsa: It's agony to wait!
Anna: It's agony to wait!
Elsa: Tell the guards to open up... the gate!"

In the song, we see Elsa pick up the orb and sceptre, which will be used in the coronation. She is required to take off her gloves in order to be crowned. This worries her, as her ice powers are more likely to show. Elsa continues to use the phrase "Conceal, don't feel", which was taught to her by her parents before they died at sea. However, she knows that she must be brave and be the good girl she always has to be in order to rule the kingdom. While Anna's portion of the song is full of enthusiasm, Elsa's is full of anxiety, fear and finally, courage.

For the first time in forever (in this film, at least), we hear Elsa sing. She is voiced by Idina Menzel.
4. After meeting Prince Hans, Anna launches into a duet with him. What is the title of their song?

Answer: Love is an Open Door

"Hans: I mean it's crazy...
Anna: What?
Hans: We finish each other's-
Anna: Sandwiches!"

Anna seems to bond with Hans over his family situation, although she does think that he is very good looking! He is the thirteenth son and has been ignored by some of his older brothers - for years! Being in a similar situation, Anna believes that they complete each other. In this melodious love song, she and Hans are seen to explore Arendelle, whilst getting to know each other. They find they think in a similar way, making Anna think they have "mental synchronisation", which shows that they are "just meant to be!".

Although bouncy and happy, this song does slightly betray Hans' true intentions. When he sings "I've been searching my whole life to find my own place", he gestures to Arendelle. This suggests he wants to claim the place for himself and will use Anna to get there.

Although a villain, Hans does have a lovely singing voice! He is voiced by Santino Fontana.
5. What is the last line of the song 'Let it Go'?

Answer: The cold never bothered me anyway.

"Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway!"

This song shows Elsa make her own place in the world, the only place where she can feel safe and be herself: a giant palace of ice. She treks up into the mountains after revealing her powers during the ball. We see her finally being true to herself, taking off her gloves and voluntarily using her powers for the first time since she was a little girl. Her powers are impressive and beautiful, like Grand Pabbie the troll said they would be.
6. Elsa's mother and father can be heard singing in the song 'Let it Go'.

Answer: False

Elsa is the only one to sing in 'Let it Go'. The song is supposed to represent Elsa's solitude in the mountains, as she only feels safe by herself. She disregards her parents' advice of "Conceal, don't feel" as everyone in Arendelle now knows about her powers.

Although Idina Menzel's version plays in the film, Disney star Demi Lovato has made a version of the song, which plays in the credits of 'Frozen'.
7. Kristoff sings a short song before settling down for the night with his reindeer, Sven. What is / are the missing word(s) in the line: "But people _______ better than reindeers, Sven, don't you think I'm right?

Answer: Smell

Kristoff (as Sven): Yeah, people will beat you
and curse you and cheat you
Every one of them's bad except you.

Kristoff: Oh, thanks buddy
But people smell better than reindeers
Sven, don't you think I'm right?

Kristoff (as Sven): That's once again true,
for all except you.

This song shows Kristoff's affection for Sven, as he voices him and treats him like a human friend. Sven, naturally, cannot speak but appears to understand his owner. As an orphan, this song also shows Kristoff's loneliness and lack of human company until he meets and finally befriends Anna. This song only lasts for 53 seconds but it is effective in conveying Kristoff's distrust of people.

Kristoff is voiced by Jonathan Groff.
8. In Olaf the snowman's song 'Summer', what is / are the missing word(s)? "Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle, But put me in summer and I'll be a _____"

Answer: Happy snowman

"Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle,
But put me in summer and I'll be a...happy snowman!
When life gets rough, I like to hold on to my dream
Of relaxing in the summer sun, just lettin' off steam
Oh, the sky will be blue,
And you guys will be there too
When I finally do what frozen things do in summer!"

The rhyme is subverted, as you'd expect him to say "puddle", which is what he stumbles upon during the song. In 'Summer', Olaf fantasises about what he would do if it were summer. He loves warm hugs and therefore wants to experience it being hot. He dreams about sunbathing, sailing, swimming, building sandmen and being on the beach. He would also enjoy it because Anna, Kristoff and Sven would be there.

Olaf is voiced by Josh Gad.
9. Elsa and Anna sing a song in Elsa's ice palace, which is actually a reprise of 'For the First Time in Forever'. Which of these lines actually features in the song?

Answer: Just stay away and you'll be safe from me.

Elsa: You mean well, but leave me be
Yes, I'm alone but I'm alone and free!
Just stay away and you'll be safe from me

Anna: Actually we're not

Elsa: What do you mean you're not?

Anna: I get the feeling you don't know

Elsa: What do I not know?

Anna: Arendelle's in deep, deep, deep, deep snow.

In this song, Anna attempts to convince Elsa to come home, where they can fix their problems together. She insists that she understands and everything will be fine if they go home and Elsa returns the country to summer. Elsa rightly believes she is dangerous and wants to remain by herself, believing that Anna will be able to live a happy life, where the palace gates are always open, if she stays away.

All of the other options are spoken lines from different parts of the film; two of which are said by Hans, and the last by Elsa herself.
10. Who sings the final song during the film itself, 'Fixer Upper'?

Answer: The trolls

"He's just a bit of a fixer-upper,
He's got a couple of bugs
His isolation is confirmation
Of his desperation for healing hugs
So he's a bit of a fixer-upper,
But we know what to do
The way to fix up this fixer-upper
Is to fix him up with you!"

This song is sung by the trolls by whom Kristoff was raised. They want to fix him up with Anna and marry them, as it is obvious that they have a connection. The trolls all mention Kristoff's flaws, such as the way he looks, smells and acts, but they know that he is ultimately sensitive and sweet and deserves a happy ending like everyone else.
