When our heroes first arrive at Jolly Joe's, they find the buccaneers already inside singing a sea shanty about Jolly Joe's. Sedgewick notes that the pirates may sound jolly, but they don't look so jolly.

Answer: George

It's George who first tries to ask the buccaneers about the sword, but he gets tripped by his tongue. One of the buccaneers asks him if a parrot's got his tongue, and all the buccaneers begin to laugh. George then gives the sword to Sedgewick, and Sedgewick goes and asks.

Answer: Jolly Joe

Jolly Joe answers Sedgewick's questions. Jolly Joe gives them some clues about where to find Robert's secret hideout; first they have to find an island guarded by the raging whirpool: El Remolino. The pirates are creeped out and want to quit, but Princess Eloise convinces them to at least look for the island. George, Sedgewick and Elliot agree to this, but with fear and trembling.

Answer: A sea mirage

El Remolino, which the Pirates feared, actually turned out to be just a sea mirage. George tells them all this, and says that he found out about the mirage on the weather channel.

Answer: A billboard

The clues are written on a gigantic billboard:

"If one was to look for me, the East is where he'd start
Then pass the Isle of Walking Rocks, and the Clapping Pass would part
Look with pride upon my fort, not found on any chart
'Til he would spy my steely eye, and fear would stop his heart."

Answer: Because there is a grove filled with cheese-curls

Sedgewick decides not to go back because there is a grove filled with cheese-curls, and because he does not want to get sliced and diced by Robert the Terrible. Elliot and George decide to go finish what they started, but Sedgewick, being selfish, does not.

Answer: That Robert's spies have kidnapped Eloise and Willory

Robert the Terrible's spies had kidnapped Eloise and Willory, but had forgotten their boat in the process. George wanted to rush off to save Eloise and Willory, but something stopped Elloit from following him.

Answer: The Helpseeker started blinking

The Helpseeker began to blink. Elliot thinks that it means that their mission is over, but George isn't convinced. George begins to push the boat out into the water, and for a moment it seems that Elliot disappears. In reality, Elliot puts the Helpseeker back in his satchel, and helps George push the boat into the water.

The two, realizing that Eloise and Willory are too far away, decide to follow the clues and head for the Isle of Walking Rocks.

Answer: The cheese curls come to life and begin to chase him

The cheese curls come to life, and chase him all the way to a steep rock hill. Sedgewick wonders what kind of crazy movie he's in, and when he tries to climb the rock hill, he says it's too far up. However, he must escape the ravenous cheese curls! What will Sedgewick do?!

Answer: The crab will show you the light

"The crab will show you the light" is literal. When Sedgewick can't find his way out of the cave, a crab points towards an opening in the rock hill that had appeared. Light pours through, and Sedgewick realizes that he can climb the rocky hill.
