Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Junior is convinced he sees scary things all around his room after watching a horror movie. Bob, Larry, and Frankencelery save the day by showing him that God is bigger than the boogeyman.

Answer: Where's God When I'm S-s-scared?

This is the first episode ever of "Veggietales". Even though it is obvious to see how much the quality of the animation has improved since then, this video still teaches an important lesson in trusting in God's protection.
2. Junior is a little guy, but when his homeland is threatened by a bunch of attacking Philistine peas with their ally Goliath, Junior stands up to them when no one else will.

Answer: Dave and the Giant Pickle

This is one of the first episodes based directly on a Bible story. It is inspiring for kids to hear that, indeed, "Little Guys Can Do Big Things, Too" like Junior sings about.
3. Junior accidentally breaks his dad's favorite plate. He tells a lie to save himself from punishment, but this lie soon grows bigger. Who will save Junior from this lie? Larry Boy!

Answer: Larry Boy and the Fib From Outer Space

This is the first full episode starring Larry Boy. Larry Boy protects the town of Bumblyburg with his super-suction ears. More often, his loyal butler Alfred helps him save the day, but everyone loves Larry Boy just the same!
4. An elegant fruit is realy well-meaning, but is convinced happiness in life is connected to how much stuff you have. She soon sees that, while stuff can be nice, true happiness comes from the inside.

Answer: Madame Blueberry

This episode features one of the first recurring female characters in the "Veggietales" universe. Interesting blooper: look at Madame Blueberry's hair color, it changes several times throughout the episode.
5. A group of kids are forced to work in a chocolate factory. When their boss forces them to sing a song that says all kinds of bad things, they refuse and stand up for their beliefs. It seems their defiance will have dire consequences, but God saves them and reforms the heart of the boss.

Answer: Rack, Shack, and Benny

This video actually created a little controversy. The bad song, known as "The Bunny Song", originally said things like "I won't go to school" and "I don't love my mom or my dad". The problem was that this song was so catchy that kids sang it. After enough complaints, future releases had a revised version of the song with less threatening lines like "I won't eat tofu".
6. Mr. Nezzer wants to create a giant factory to celebrate his favorite holiday. Unfortunately, part of the plans for this factory includes demolishing the local church. Bob, Larry, and an angel named Hope convince him of the true meaning of this holiday.

Answer: An Easter Carol

Mr. Nezzer is convinced that Easter is all about plastic eggs. So, he wants to create his factory full of mechanical chickens to make everyone happy. However, Hope, Bob, and Larry, in a parallel of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" show Mr. Nezzer his past, present, and future, and show why Easter is all about the Resurrection, not candy and plastic eggs.
7. Larry is a wrestler named The Italian Scallion, but not a very good one. He constantly jokes around and never finishes what he starts. When he lands a dream match against Apollo Gourd, can he shape up, get serious about his training, and win the title?

Answer: Sumo of the Opera

This episode is a very obvious parody of the movie "Rocky". During his training, he even has a grumpy old trainer played by Pa Grape. And, yes, he does win the title.
8. Larry is a mild mannered museum curator in Moose Lake by day, but a whip cracking adventurer by night. In this adventure, he seeks an ancient artifact claimed to give the holder immense strength.

Answer: Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Samson's Hairbrush

In this "Indiana Jones" parody, Larry tries to find the hairbrush of Biblical hero Samson to give him strength to stand up to bully Professor Rattan. However, he finds the brush has no real strength, but the power of a forgiving heart does.
9. Larry is a ruler with a fondness for bath toys. He claims to have the finest collection in the land. But when he spies Junior with a bath toy, he desires to get that toy for himself too. Larry concocts a plan to get Junior out of the way so he can get the toy for himself.

Answer: King George and the Ducky

A few people did not like this episode because Larry, known for his sweet good guy roles, actually plays a little bit of an evil character here. However, the producers said that this is quite in line with Larry, because the ruler wasn't evil, just misguided and Larry is usually playing a naive character who learns a lesson.

This clever story was actually a way to produce the Biblical story of David and Bathsheba but keep it kid friendly and still teach the lesson of not taking what's not yours.
10. A group of 30,000 hairy invaders are set to attack Larry's homeland. An angel comes to Larry to protect his people. How can Larry with a small group of peas and carrots armed only with band instruments and flashlights drive off an army of 30,000?

Answer: Gideon: Tuba Warrior

In this clever adaptation of the Biblical story of Gideon, Larry is a lowly tuba player in a marching band. He has no idea how to protect his people like God wants. However, he creates such an uproar with the instruments that the invaders are convinced a massive army is attacking and the land is saved!
