Bray Road is located in Walworth county between the cities of Delavan and Elkhorn. It is a small country road that begins at the intersection of HWY 11 and Bowers Rd and ends at HWY NN, just east of the city of Elkhorn.

Mark Schackelman, who is a relative of mine, encountered the beast digging in an Indian burial mound just outside of Jefferson on Hwy 18. Mark was a night watchman at St. Colletta, a school for the mentally handicapped, and came upon the beast as his shift was ending. Mark was a low-keyed man and didn't tell anyone for years about the sighting until the next report was written. Mark's granddaughter now works with me, and she reports that he only talked about the incident to her father, Joe Schackelman.

According to the Jefferson County Daily Union in 1972, the beast attacked the horse just south of Fort Atkinson. The horse was found dead in a pasture. Some still wonder if the beast was hungry, why didn't it eat the horse, or if the horse was fighting the beast, why wasn't there more wounds on the horse's body. No one for sure knows why the beast only left the one gash, but that's why it still remains a mystery.
