Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. If you are writing a quiz on a celebrity, what are you allowed to do?

Answer: Look up information on the person

Plagiarism is something that is not only illegal in FunTrivia, but it is also quite immoral. Why risk the chance of losing your account? Not only that, the editors are far too busy to do the work you are supposed to do.
2. Which of the following statements would not be considered a good "interesting information" statement?

Answer: This is my favorite game.

Opinions are not considered good "interesting information" tidbits. The point of the interesting information is to tell the player specific information as to why the answer is what it is.
3. Does interesting information have to be in a complete sentence?

Answer: Yes

It is required of all FunTrivia quizmakers to have all their interesting information in a complete sentence.
4. Will an editor put interesting information in for you?

Answer: No

The editors have far too much to do than to sit with your quiz and put information in it for you. The quiz has no merit if you cannot provide some information on the question.
5. How many questions need interesting information?

Answer: all of them

After you save your quiz, the system analyzes each quiz. If there is an error, not only will it not allow you to send it to the queue, it will tell you what it needs. The error message states, "Interesting information is required for this question."
6. Can an editor reject a quiz just for bad interesting information?

Answer: Yes

It depends on the severity of the information and also how strict the editor is. Regardless, there is a strict policy of quality to each and every quiz on FunTrivia, and it is the editor's job to make sure those policies are followed.
7. Has interesting information always been required on FunTrivia?

Answer: No

When FunTrivia first started, the guidelines were not as strict. A lot of quizzes from 2000 and 2001 may not have any interesting information, and it leaves the quiz player quite baffled.
8. What does the thumb icon stand for on a quiz?

Answer: It is an editor's choice quiz

It is quite difficult to get an icon for an editor's choice quiz, as only the top quizzes are considered. This is represented by the "thumbs up" icon. Less than one percent of quizzes have this distinction. The sunglasses represent a highly rated quiz.
9. Is the interesting information allowed to be the question in repeated form?

Answer: No

In the "Quiz Creation Guidelines," it states that interesting information should be exactly that. It needs to be an interesting tidbit referring to the question, and not simply repeating your question. This is redundant and will cause a lower ranking.
10. Which of the following can you use for interesting information?

Answer: Both of these

With so much available information, there are many possibilities to find for your topic of choice. The main thing you cannot do is plagiarize. You can use books and other sources, but make sure everything is in your own words. I hope this quiz has helped everyone write better quizzes for the editors to make their jobs much easier. Remember, if you need help, just ask an editor.

They will be more than happy to help you.
