In 1935, Count Felix Schaffgtosch, hired to scout out possibilities for the great American resort, had nearly had given up the search, but decided to check up on Ketchum, an old mining town in central Idaho. The rest is history. Sun Valley became one of the most famous resorts in America.

As a resort designed to pamper the rich and famous, it indeed attracted its share of European nobility and Hollywood celebrities of that era, such as Clark Gable, Errol Flynn, Claudette Colbert, Bing Crosby, and Gary Cooper.
8. Which of these is the state dance of Idaho?

Answer: Square Dance

The Square Dance was designated as Idaho's state dance on March 17, 1989. Eighteen other states claim the Square Dance as their official dance as well.
9. Idaho is famous for its historical mining operations; where is the oldest mine in Idaho?

Answer: Pierce

Pierce is named for Captain E.D. Pierce, who was in search of mineral wealth in 1860. One of the men in the party, Wilbur Bassett, discovered gold while the expedition was on the Nez Perce Reservation. Six months after Bassett found gold, 1600 claims were founded, and fortune seekers from all over came to try their hand at riches.
