Answer: Washington

Washington produces around 5.4 billion pounds of apples per year. The central part of the state has an ideal environment for apple growing.

Answer: Missouri

St. Louis, Missouri's Municipal Theater can seat 11,500 people. It is 80,000 square feet and was built in 1917. The theater is nicknamed The Muny.
3. Which U.S. state has the largest raptor habitat?

Answer: Idaho

In southwest Idaho along the Snake River you can find the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. It has been a protected area for raptors since 1993. It is home to over 2,500 birds of prey that includes owls, hawks, eagles, and turkey vultures.
4. Which U.S. state is home to the world's largest indoor waterfall?

Answer: Michigan

The tallest indoor waterfall in the world is located in the lobby of the International Center in the city of Detroit. It is 114 feet tall. This impressive cascade flows in front of a 9,000 square foot marble slab.
5. Which U.S. state holds the largest half marathon?

Answer: Indiana

The Mini-Marathon became an official part of the Indianapolis 500 auto race in 1979. It attracts as many as 30,000 runners. Participants run through downtown Indianapolis and even take a lap around the famous speedway.
6. The oldest national park in the USA lies mainly in this state.

Answer: Wyoming

Yellowstone was designated a national park in 1872. Yellowstone National Park actually has land in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. It covers over two million acres of beautiful land.

Answer: Iowa

LeMars, Iowa, is home to Well's Dairy. At an astounding 500,000 square feet, the factory produced more than $800 million of ice cream and frozen yogurt in 2003. It produces some Haagen-Dazs products, as well as its own brand, Blue Bunny ice cream.

Answer: Wisconsin

Located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Noah's Ark Waterpark has water rides unparalleled. It covers 70 acres with 41 waterslides, two huge wave pools, two endless rivers and much more for water enthusiasts.
9. Which U.S. state has the largest human-made hole in the world?

Answer: Utah

Bingham Canyon Copper Mine is located near Salt Lake City, Utah. It has been continually mined since 1903. It now measures 1/2 mile deep and
2 1/2 miles wide. Silver and gold are mined there too.
10. Which U.S. state claims the oldest continuously occupied European settlement?

Answer: Florida

Saint Augustine, Florida was founded in the year 1565 by the Spanish. It was settled 42 years before Jamestown colony in Virginia. It was settled 55 years before the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts.
