The Victoria was the only surviving ship to return to Europe from the five-ship fleet with which Magellan started. The historic voyage ended in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain - 16 months after Magellan's death at sea. The first ship known to have brought tea to Europe was Dutch, and arrived 1610 from Macao, China. In 1498, Vasco da Gama was the first person to sail a ship directly from Europe to India. Christopher Columbus brought the first cocoa beans to Europe between 1502 and 1504.
