Operation Greif was part of combat operations during the Battle of the Bulge. Its mission was to cause confusion behind American lines, not the assassination of Ike. Eighteen of Skorzeny's men who were captured in American uniforms were executed. Eisenhower, not amused by the rumour had wanted posters of Skorzeny posted.
10. What was Skorzeny involved in at the close of WWII?

Answer: Operation Werewolf and ODESSA

Skorzeny was involved in Operation Werewolf initially and was later associated with ODESSA. He was later tried as a war criminal for his part in misusing American uniforms during Opration Greif during the Bulge. He was acquitted of the charges when an Allied operative admitted they used German uniforms for various operations against the Axis.
