Ben Elton chose his title from this as the musical's religious and political intolerance is played out amidst the background of the local football team.

"Perspective" is from "The Woman In White."

It is sung by Laura, Marion and Walter during their first art lesson. There are double entendres throughout the whole song which is supposedly singing about art.

"Pumping Iron" is sung by Greaseball - praising diesel fuel and himself.

"Poppa's Blues" is sung by Poppa when he is giving the Rockies a lesson on how to sing the blues.

"Pearl Twirl" is near the beginning of Act Two when Pearl changes partners from Electra to Greaseball.

Potiphar is the Egyptian millionaire that Joseph is sold to.

Plato is a teenage male from "Cats".

Pontius Pilate is the governor of Judea in "Jesus Christ Superstar."

Purse is Electra's money truck in "Starlight Express."

After Old Deuteronomy arrives the cats perform a song for him called "The Awefull Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles".

It's a story of two dog tribes fighting in the street until the Great Rumpus Cat scares them away.

T.S. Eliot wrote a poem, prior to "Old Possum's Book Of Practical Cats", titled "Pollicle Dogs And Jellicle Cats."

Jellicle cats means 'dear little cats' and Pollicle dogs means 'dear little dogs."

Pearl sings this to Rusty when she's describing the dream train she wants to race with.

It's a song about luck but also racism - the Rockies and the steam trains are black and it's implied that this puts them at a disadvantage.

"U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D." is sung by Dinah in a real country and western style after Greaseball has dumped her.
