Answer: The Music of the Night

In "The Phantom of the Opera," the Phantom sings "The Music of the Night" to his muse, the chorus-girl-turned-leading-lady Christine, after he leads her from her dressing room into his underground lair.

"Let your mind start a journey
through a strange, new world!
Leave all thoughts
of the world you knew before!
Let your soul take you where you long to be!
Only then can you belong to me!

DID YOU KNOW that when "The Phantom of the Opera" premiered on Broadway in January 1988, Michael Crawford (The Phantom) was almost 20 years (18 years 7 months to be exact) older than his co-star Sarah Brightman who played Christine?

Answer: What I Did For Love

Led by Diana, the dancers in the company of "A Chorus Line" sing "What I Did For Love" as they profess their deep love for the art form--dance--which blessed them with talent and supported them throughout their lives.

"Look my eyes are dry
The gift was ours to borrow
It's as if we always knew
And I won't forget
What I did for love."

DID YOU KNOW that in the somewhat dreadful movie of "A Chorus Line," the context behind "What I Did For Love" was completely changed? The girls are beautiful...
Even the orchestra is beautiful!"

We weren't quite sure
We had a few doubts
'Would Evita win through?
And the answer is 'yes!'"

My heart would take wing
And I'd feel so alive!

I'm too good to waste my talent for greed
I need room to flex my muscles
In an ocean where the big sharks feed
Make me Yankee
They're my fam'ly
They're selling what people need."

DID YOU KNOW that in 1990, just before "Miss Saigon" came to Broadway, Actors Equity ruled that Asian actors must be given equal casting opportunities? It is because of this that Jonathan Pryce, who had played the role of the Engineer in London, was almost not allowed to reprise his role on Broadway.

We snuggle watchin' 'Lucy'
On our big, enormous twelve-inch screen."

'Ev'ryone deserves a chance to fly'
And if I'm flying solo
