Miss Arundell would not give Charles the money and he thought he could intimidate her into giving it to him.
2. What is one of the things that Bella does that bothers Theresa?

Answer: Bella dresses the same way, only with cheaper clothes

This little tidbit is actually more important than it seems. Miss Lawson thought she saw Theresa set the trap at the top of the stairs, but it was actually Bella.
3. Which character is not very well liked because he is a Greek?

Answer: Jacob

Everyone liked Bella, but was disappointed with the fact that she married a Greek. Everyone did admire him, however, for his career.
4. Who did Miss Arundell leave her money to?

Answer: Miss Lawson

Miss Arundell changed her will before she died because she didn't want any of her greedy nieces or nephew to get it.
5. Who was originally blamed for Emily's first fall?

Answer: Bob

Everyone thought that Bob left his ball on the stairs, but that was not the case. A trip wire was set up at the top of the stairs.

Answer: Julia and Isabela

The Sisters Tripp saw a halo form around Emily's head right before she died.

Answer: Poured it down the sink

Emily did not trust Jacob, however the medicine was actually good and would have caused her no harm.
8. What poison was used to kill Miss Arundell?

Answer: Phosphorus

Phosphorus pills were substituted for Emily's prescribed pills. Arsenic was briefly suspected when a batch from the gardener's supply went missing.
9. Besides Emily, who is murdered in the novel?

Answer: No one else

Bella committed suicide. Poirot convinced her into doing so to protect Jacob's life.
10. Who did Miss Lawson give Bob to as a token of her appreciation?

Answer: Poirot

Ironically, Poirot is not fond of dogs. Hastings had a connection with Bob almost immediately.
