Answer: Haiti

Roy explains a recent business trip to an irate client over the phone in Act One, Scene Two of "Angels in America Part One: Millenium Approaches".

"No, I already told you, it wasn't a vacation, it was business, Mrs. Soffer, I have clients in Haiti, Mrs. Soffer . . . "
2. Prior Walter tells his lover Louis Ironson that he has AIDS in the fourth scene of the first act. Where is Prior's Kaposi's Sarcoma lesion?

Answer: Near his shoulder

Prior reveals his illness to Louis shortly after the funeral of Louis' grandmother Sarah. Louis is ultimately unable to cope with this and leaves Prior.

Kaposi's Sarcoma is a rare cancer that mostly affects people with AIDS. It causes black lesions to appear on the body. While Prior's appears on his body, lesions can also form in internal organs.
3. Joe Pitt is Roy Cohn's protege. What is his religion?

Answer: Joe is a Mormon

Joe is married to Harper Pitt, a Valium addict. He eventually realizes he is a homosexual and begins dating Louis, the former lover of Prior Walter.

Answer: Valium

Harper takes Valium and often hallucinates while Joe is off at work. She often hallucinates she is in Antarctica on a trip set up by her imaginary friend Mister Lies. During one of these hallucinations she is actually in Central Park.

Answer: Macy's

Harper and Prior meet in a mutual dream/hallucination. In it, Prior is applying makeup while dressed in drag. It is in this scene that Prior tells Harper that her husband is a homosexual. Harper doesn't believe him.
6. Henry is Roy's doctor who diagnoses him with AIDS. Roy refutes this diagnosis and offers another diagnosis. What does Roy say he has?

Answer: Liver cancer

Roy sees himself not as a homosexual, but as a heterosexual man who has sex with men. Gay people have no power or influence while Roy has plenty of both. Thus, according to Roy's convoluted logic, makes him not gay.
7. In Act Two Prior finds himself in a hospital. What is his relation to Norman "Belize" Arriaga?

Answer: They are former lovers

Throughout the rest of the play "Belize" is often in scenes with either Prior or Louis, although he is romantically involved with neither of them. "Belize" got his nickname by dressing in drag.
8. To whom does Joe reveal his homosexuality in Scene Eight of Act Two?

Answer: His mother

Joe calls his mother, Hannah Pitt, from Central Park. Hannah, being a conservative Mormon, is understandably shocked by this news. Later in the play Hannah arrives to look for the missing Harper.
9. How many ancestors is Prior visited by in the first scene of Act Three?

Answer: Two

Prior is actually the latest in a long line of ancestors who also had the name "Prior Walter". Two of these ancestors appear to him as he lies in bed to announce the impending arrival of an angel. Prior has been hearing the Angel's voice since Act Two, but has never actually seen her.
10. Whom does Prior, and the audience, see for the first time at the end of Part One?

Answer: The Angel

The Angel crashes through Prior's apartment roof to announce the start of a "Great Work".
