Angus had lied to Nat when he stated that he had never met Richard Williams. Once Nat confronts Holt with photocopies of visitation records proving that he had visited Williams on three occasions, Holt at first denies it and then confirms that he had indeed visited Williams. Holt was involved in the conspiracy to free Williams and makes a feeble attempt at justifying his illegal acts.

After a tense scene between Nat and Holt the troopers arrest Holt and Nat removes the listening device that she had been wearing during their confrontation. Hank's only crime was that he seemed to be more involved with Nat's family than with Nat. Paul Donnell was the name of a prisoner.
