When Eve Dallas and Rourke get married her friend, Mavis Freestone's partner, Leonardo makes Eve's wedding dress and arranges for Trina to do her hair and makeup. Eve now needs to attend functions suitably attired as the wife of a multimillionaire business man, but hates the process so any excuse to avoid Trina is good.

Captain Feeney is now in charge of the computer department and one of his assistants is Detective Ian McNab, the partner of Detective Delia Peabody. Since Rourke is also a computer expert he often works with them both as a consultant - he has equipment which a hard-up police department can not afford. Rourke also has the ability to carry out illegal computer activity which Eve tries to avoid as far as possible.
