Because of this, it is every kingdom's dream to get the secrets of iron working.

In history (real history), the Hittite army was the first to use iron weaponry. When the Hittite empire fell, the secrets were taken by Babylon, and spread to the other nations, thus bringing the world into the Iron Age.

The star of Ishtar is only visible right before sunrise during the wet season. It had disappeared only a few weeks prior and wasn't supposed to be back for another year. After Zuwa died, the star of Ishtar shown in the sky. Everyone went wild, thinking it was a sign from Ishtar. Only, the star wasn't really back.

The sun was just rising and Yuri, holding the blade high above her head, was reflecting the dawn's early light in the exact spot the star would have been. No one in the Hittite Empire from then on doubted she was the goddess come down to bless them.

Zannanza is only slightly younger than Kail. While Kail's mother was pregnant with him, their father impregnated Zannanza's mother.

The king of Kizzuwatna takes the side of the Mitanni and the Prince of Darkness after Mattiwaza kills his concubines and children. He is a coward who cared more about his life then the lives of his people and his family. The people were outraged that their king sided with the people who were killing them and not those who were helping protect them. So they went against their king, fighting the Mitanni anyway.

Nakia wants her son to be King. Kail is her biggest obstacle since everyone in the kingdom is sure he will succeed to the throne. Though the king wanted to have them pay a huge fine to the government, but Nakia took charge and demanded they be stripped of all titles. Yuri saved the day by saying the kidnapping was a set up in order to fool the Mitanni before they attacked. Luckily, the king and council members bought it.

The Dragon's Eye is really a magical talisman that has the power to control a person's will. With it, Nakia can control anyone she wants anytime she wants.

Though he does feel fear about her going to war, that is not the reason why he wants her to remain behind. The war is supposed to take years to finish and Yuri only has ten months before she has to go back to her time. After what happened between Yuri and Zannanza, Kail comes to the realization that Yuri isn't his.

Therefore, he wishes to distance himself so that he can let her go when it is time for her to leave.

He promises to finish the war not in years but in months so that she can return home in time. That way, she can go to war with him and stay by his side until she has to leave.
