Mitch Rafferty was planting flowers for a client when he received a phone call from his Holly's kidnappers. They demanded two million dollars or Holly would be killed. To make sure Mitch knew they were serious, a man across the street who was walking a dog was shot in the head. The man turned out to be Mitch's old roommate and one of Holly's kidnappers.
