Hercule Poirot was very hurt by Norma's comment that he was too old.
4. Who helped Hercule Poirot find the 'third girl' when she disappears?

Answer: Ariadne Oliver

Ariadne Oliver was a mystery novelist. She helped Hercule Poirot find out the identity of Norma Restarick, and followed Norma's boyfriend for him. Nobody seemed to care that much when Norma disappeared, not even her parents.
5. How did the 'third girl' try to commit suicide?

Answer: by throwing herself in front of a speeding Jaguar

Fortunately, she was snatched out of harm's way by Dr. Stillingfleet.
6. Which two characters were never seen at the same place at the same time?

Answer: Frances Cary and Mary Restarick

Frances Cary and Mary Restarick were never seen at the same place at the same time, because they were the same person! Norma's stepmother was posing as her roommate in London.
7. Why was the 'third girl' afraid to get treatment from doctors?

Answer: She was afraid they'll put her in a mental hospital.

She ends up seeing Dr. Stillingfleet, and then they ended up getting married.
8. Yes or No: Was the 'third girl' insane?

Answer: No

She thought she was insane, because she had weird dream sequences and blanked out for hours at a time. Norma didn't know her so-called parents are drugging her.
9. Who killed Louise Charpentier and David Baker?

Answer: Robert Orwell and Frances Cary

Robert Orwell pretended to be Andrew Restarick. Robert Orwell and Frances Cary killed Louise Charpentier, because she had an affair with Andrew Restarick, and she was the only one who would be able to tell Robert Orwell was an identity thief. They killed David Baker, because he knew about their scheme to pretend to be Andrew and Mary Restarick to obtain his money, and he blackmailed them.

Then Robert and Frances would drug Norma, and make her show up at the scenes of the crimes with blood on her hands.

They would have Norma arrested, and then acquitted due to her plea for insanity.
10. Who was the killer(s)' intended second victim?

Answer: Ariadne Oliver

Robert Orwell and Frances Cary tried to kill Mrs. Oliver because she tailed David Baker. Fortunately, they were not successful. Also, it seems like none of the murderers are ever interested in killing Hercule Poirot. Why is that? He's the one who's going to solve the crime(s) and get them thrown in prison.
