Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the primary city in which the film is set?

Answer: London

The film is set primarily in London, but the action moves to an area just outside Manchester, where it ends. From the very beginning of the film, we see London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the River Thames.
2. In what city is the primate research center located?

Answer: Cambridge

After the animal rights activists have entered the facility, a security camera captures them blocking the view of each camera. There is a caption on the camera picture that clearly reads, "Cambridge Primate Research Center". It is here that the initial experimentation of the Rage virus has been performed upon chimps.
3. The activists enter the room where the primates are kept. One of the first things they encounter is a dead primate that has been dissected.

Answer: True

The activists see several things within the research center that shock them. The primate that has been dissected appears to be under current examination.
4. The research center scientist is the first to be infected?

Answer: False

The female activist, who accompanies her two male companions, is the first person infected, after a released primate attacks and bites her. She, almost immediately, becomes infected and she vomits blood on the floor. She then vomits blood onto the face of one of her cohorts. The whole time, the research scientist is yelling that she must be killed.
5. One of the main, if not the main character of the movie, is Jim. Jim is a motorbike courier. Jim has somehow lived through a life-threatening accident as well as the wide spread infection. When we first see Jim, where is he?

Answer: In the hospital

Jim is in the hospital as the result of a very bad accident. A car hit him while he was delivering a package on his bike. He wakes up, still in his hospital bed, and still connected to machines and medicines.
6. What company manufacturers the car that Jim approaches in the intersection (when the car alarm goes off startling him)?

Answer: Mercedes

The car is a silver Mercedes, as the Mercedes emblem is clearly visible on the front grill. Jim attempts to either enter or touch the car, when the car alarm goes off, breaking the eerie silence. Jim jumps in surprise and seems to grin at himself.
7. Jim picks up a newspaper from a newsstand. What does the main, large headline say?

Answer: Evacuation

Among the smaller, briefly visible story lines, the newspaper headline is not hard to miss. It clearly reads, "Evacuation!" It also mentions roadblocks overrun, a refugee crisis, and the United Nations' involvement as well. Jim realizes that something very, very serious has happened.
8. A coffee shop appears at the beginning of the film. It is located inside the hospital in which Jim has awakened. What is the name of the coffee shop?

Answer: Costa Coffee

The coffee shop appears behind Jim as he is checking to see if any of the pay phones are working. Like most other places in the movie, it is deserted and ransacked.
9. As Jim is chased by the Infected, he is rescued by two figures throwing fire bombs. These two individuals are Mark and Selena, two survivors of the infection. Mark blows up a building in an attempt to save Jim and kill the infected chasing him. What type of building does he blow up?

Answer: Gas station

Mark drops a Molotov Cocktail into a fuel storage tank of a gas station, and when it explodes, it creates an intense fireball that destroys the area and kills the infected as well. It also blows the windows out of the building behind which Mark, Selena, and Jim are hiding.
10. Where do Mark and Selena live/stay?

Answer: In a shop in the subway

Mark and Selena live in a small shop located in the London Underground, the name by which the subway system is known. The shop is gated, and it allows them protection from the infected.
11. While in the subway shop, after meeting Mark and Selena, Jim learns about the infection and all events that followed, he insists that this group still exists. What group does he mention?

Answer: The government

Jim clearly states that the government must exist. He says that there is always a government, and he states that the government leaders must be in a bunker or an airplane. Mark and Selena convince him otherwise, and they also tell him there is no police or army.
12. The Rage virus spreads rapidly throughout the country. It spreads upon contact with blood or saliva from the infected. Selena tells Jim that, before the television and radio stations stopped broadcasting, there was news that the infection had spread to two cities. What are those cities?

Answer: New York and Paris

Mark tells Jim that they have some bad news to share. Selena chillingly tells how the infection spread, and she states that it had spread to small towns as well.
13. Mark, Selena, and Jim set out, during the day, to a particular destination. Where are they going?

Answer: Jim's parents' house

The group travels only during the day, as the infected are not as active during this time. It is at Jim's parents' house that they discover that Jim's parents have committed suicide and that Mark is killed by Selena after, presumably, becoming infected through a cut on his arm.
14. Frank, a cab driver, and his daughter, Hannah, live on an upper floor in an abandoned flat. They try to signal other survivors of the infection with Christmas lights. Jim and Selena decided to check out the lights. What do Jim and Selena have to climb up (aside from the stairs) to get to Frank and Hannah's flat/apartment?

Answer: Shopping Carts

Apparently, the carts have been placed as a blockade to keep the infected out of the building. Unfortunately, it does not work, as two infected chase Selena and Jim before being killed by Frank.
15. What does Frank suggest they all drink to celebrate finding new friends?

Answer: Creme de Menthe

Hannah refers to the Creme de Menthe as "Mum's Creme de Menth". Frank also wants to use their best glasses for the occasion. He searches the kitchen cabinets for the glasses, until Hannah tells him where they can be found...in the top cupboard.
