Pierce Brosnan was born in Navan, County Meath, Ireland on May 16, 1953. His parents were Thomas Brosnan, a carpenter, and May (née Smith). His father left him and his mother at an early age. They did connect later in life but were never close like he was with his mother.

Sean played John Patrick Mason in this Michael Bay directed movie. His legend was that he was able to escape from Alcatraz (aka the Rock). His costar was Nicolas Cage who played Dr. Stanley Goodspeed. Nicolas and Sean must stop a crazy general who was trying to take over Alcatraz prison and then release biological weapons onto the city of San Francisco.

George only played Agent 007 in one movie called "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"(1969). He was the first Australian to play James Bond. One of the reasons that he was considered for the part was that Cubby Brocoli (the producer of James Bond movies) felt that he looked like a Bond after meeting him while getting his hair done in London. Sadly, George quit the Bond franchise before the premiere of the movie.

Years later, he received the Knight Bachelor of the Order of the British Empire for his continued work. He had taken over the job of Goodwill Ambassador from Audrey Hepburn.

Pierce played Stuart Dunmeyer in the 1993 movie "Mrs. Doubtfire". Robin played Daniel Hillard and Mrs. Doubtfire. Robin and Sally Field decided to get divorced near the beginning of the movie. Miranda (Sally) decided that she needed a housekeeper. Daniel decided to dress up like a woman to spend more time with his children. Stu became Miranda's new boyfriend and Mrs. Doubtfire didn't like it.

Ian Fleming was not happy about the casting of Sean Connery for the initial movie. He felt that the Sean was rough around the edges and didn't show a lot of class. Ian was looking for someone like Cary Grant. After watching Sean rehearse, Ian realized the perfect actor was cast.

"Dr. No"(1962) was about James Bond looking for his missing friend in Jamaica. He finds Dr. No's island and tries to foil the doctor's plan to take over the world.

"Moonraker"(1979) starred Roger Moore, Richard Kiel and Lois Chiles. It was about an American space shuttle that was hijacked in mid-flight.

Richard Kiel played "Jaws" in this movie. He stands at 7'2" and easily played the bad guy. He earned his nickname in the previous Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977) by having steel teeth. His popularity brought him to "Moonraker"(1979).

The miniseries "Centennial" (1978) was a television miniseries that covered two centuries in Colorado from the mid 1700's up until the 1970's. Timothy joined the cast which included Raymond Burr, Richard Chamberlain, Robert Conrad, Richard Crenna, Chad Everett and many others. Timothy played Oliver Seccombe in this historical movie about French fur traders, cattle drives and Native American culture.

Daniel stole the show in "Casino Royale"(2006). Daniel had appeared in a few movies, such as "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider"(2001) and "Road to Perdition"(2002) but not in the title roles. His big break came with "Munich"(2005). He co-starred with Eric Bana in the film about the murders at the Olympics in 1972.

Sir Sean Connery was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 25th, 1930. Pierce was born in Ireland while Roger and Daniel were born in England.

Sean Connery was the first actor to win an Oscar but it was for playing Jimmy Malone in "The Untouchables"(1987). In my mind, Sean was the ultimate James Bond.
