When Westley is fighting Fezzik, Fezzik is curious and asks Westley why he is wearing a mask. Westley tells him that they're terribly comfortable, and that he predicts they will be all the rage soon.

Just after Westley has rescued Buttercup from Vizzini, they stop to catch their breath. Buttercup at this point thinks Westley is the Dread Pirate Roberts, and is telling him he will never escape because Prince Humperdinck is the best tracker in the land. Buttercup: "He can track a falcon on a cloudy day; he can find you."

Westley and Buttercup are taking another break, Buttercup still does not know that this is Westley. Buttercup is describing how Westley died, and how much she loved him. Westley makes a disparaging comment, and Buttercup replies "You mock my pain." Westley replied with the above quote.

Westley and Buttercup are making their way through the Fire Swamp, and he is explaining to her how he came to be the Dread Pirate Roberts. He tells her that "It's the name that's the thing; no one would be afraid of the Dread Pirate Westley." He then tells her that his predecessor was Ryan, who inherited the name from the previous pirate, Cummerbund.

Same scene in the Fire Swamp as question #4. After being the Dread Pirate Roberts' valet for three years, Westley is taken aside by the pirate and given the explanation about the name. The Dread Pirate Roberts, Ryan, explained that he had acquired enough money and was ready to retire.

The next time they docked, they fired the crew and only Westley and Ryan stayed on. They then hired a new crew, and Ryan went around calling Westley the Dread Pirate Roberts, thus passing the title on.

Buttercup had told Humperdinck that if he didn't call the wedding off, she would be dead by morning. Humperdinck tells her to consider the wedding off, and that he would send messengers out to look for Westley. However, if Westley didn't come for her, he hoped she would consider him as an alternative to suicide.

Humperdinck is making preparations for his and Buttercup's wedding. Buttercup walks in during the middle of this, and he squeezes her shoulder while making the above comment. Buttercup replies, "My Westley will come for me" and flounces out.

Buttercup believes she has just been married to Prince Humperdinck. She returns to her room and picks up a dagger, preparing to plunge it into her heart. Westley, laying on the bed, stops her with this comment. Westley then explains to her that she did not really marry Humperdinck, since she didn't say "I do."

The grandson appears to be a big sports fan. He plays a baseball video game at the beginning of the movie, he wears a Bears shirt throughout the movie, and the Chicago Cubs pennant is on the wall above him, also throughout the movie. Also, the only thing that convinces him to hear the book is when his grandfather tells him the story has lots of sports in it.
