August Rush Trivia Quiz

Evan gets a lift with a truck driver who is transporting fruit (if you didn't know or see). Evan believes that his parents are in New York City, and is, as the truck driver says, "following the music."

They see a truck advertising a hot vacation spot and in big, bold letters there is the name "August Rush." Wizard stands up and shouts to the city that he is with August Rush. Evan uses this alias so no one knows who he is.

We hear this quote at the beginning of the movie and at the end. This fits into the movie because Evan can hear music, and hearing the sounds of the city inspires him to write the last song of the movie, "August's Rhapsody."

When she comes back she is very surprised to find a room full of music, and tells the Reverend about it. While there, August hears basketball players and is inspired to write a song. He uses his new-found knowledge of writing music to write a song that will be part of his rhapsody.

The Reverend takes August to the Juilliard School of the Arts. The Dean knows his musical talent and accepts him into the school. It is here that he starts writing his rhapsody, which is then used for the Juilliard concert in the park. August learns what he needs to know to write the rest of his rhapsody.

August, Arthur, and Wizard are down in a train station, but August really wants to go to his concert. Wizard won't let him leave, so Arthur hits him with an acoustic guitar and August runs away to the concert, where his parents finally meet again.

His rhapsody is in C and is a very good composition. This song is a summary of all the things he has gone through. For example, in the beginning when Evan is out in the field of long grass, you can hear what he is thinking while he is conducting. Later at the end, we hear this same song. Try to hear all the parts throughout the movie and see if they match to the final song.

After he conducts the symphony, August turns around and sees his parents in the crowd waiting for him, and thus concludes the movie.
