Peter Fonda played the role of Wyatt and was known as Captain America. Wyatt's chopper (motorcycle) was painted with the American flag on the petrol tank and his crash helmet and leather jacket also depicted the American flag.

Billy dressed in a completely different style compared to Wyatt. In fact he dressed more like a Native Indian, with buckskin leather trousers and top.

At the end of the film, Billy was shot by two locals in a truck. Wyatt went back to help his friend, but realized he needed urgent medical attention. Wyatt jumped on his motorcycle to get some help for his friend. By then the two men in the truck had turned around and were heading back to where they had shot Billy. As they approached Wyatt, one local in the truck fired his shotgun, hitting the motorcycle on the petrol tank. The motorcycle exploded in a huge ball of fire and killed Wyatt.
