Meanwhile, Beth gets really anxious when Ellen is not at school when she goes to pick her up. She drives around, searching for her, and slams into another car because she is so distressed. She ends up in the hospital, injuring her arm.

She appears to be dead, but then somehow comes back to life. Before she can get out of the tub, however, Beth shoots her with the gun that Dan keeps in the house.
