Reese Witherspoon plays Nicole. Her role in the movie is the young inexperienced, sometimes rebellious, teenager who appears to fall in love with the perfect guy. She is quite young in this movie, but she plays her character well. David (the perfect guy) is sweet, romantic, and really makes Nicole fall in love with him.

She learns pretty fast that he does have a dark side. He has a very bad dark side, that you'd never expect from him the first time you meet him.

Answer: Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg plays David McCall, who isn't quite what you'd expect. At first he seems like a very well pulled together guy - until you see a different side of him. He is very scary and he intimidates a lot of people. By the end of the movie the saying "You can't judge a book by its cover" really explains David quite well.

The tagline for this movie basically sums it up in a couple of words. David really wants to continue to date Nicole and if he can't have her, nobody can. This is what he says, and he feels that if they can't be together there is no sense in his being alive.

This is an interesting part in the movie because Steve is at work. When he and his co-workers walk into the parking lot, you see Steve's very nice car all smashed up with a sign that says "Now I've popped both your cherries". The reason that David smashes Steve's car and leaves the note claiming that he did something with Nicole, is to purposely make Steve mad. What David is hoping is that when Steve gets mad he will do something irrational that David can use against him, possibly to get Nicole.

No she doesn't stay a virgin. When Nicole's parents go on the trip and leave Nicole home, she calls David to see if he wants to come over. He says he can't at the present moment, but says that he will stop by later. Nicole gives him the code to the house and he stops by. Nicole then loses her virginity to David.

David hits himself in the chest so that Nicole will see the bruises that he gives himself. He does this to make her think that her dad hit him. He hopes this will make Nicole get into a fight with her dad, which she does. She tells him that he just lost her respect. Steve confronts David to tell him that he isn't to see Nicole anymore.

This is when we see the true side of David. He says some pretty rude things to Steve. After Steve walks away, we see David start hitting himself in the chest. Then later after Nicole storms out of the house and into David's car we see David give Steve a devious, evil smirk.

Answer: Daddy's Girl

The bracelet originally said Daddy's Girl. We see this when David is in Nicole's room looking around. He opens Nicole's jewelry box and sees the bracelet and picks it up. It says Daddy's Girl. David etches the bracelet to say David's Girl, which to me makes him seem like an obsessive freak over Nicole. I guess that's the point of his character in the movie.

Nicole sees David at Largo's playing pool with Logan, whom Margo is staring at. Nicole just keeps stealing glances at David. She also sees David get the flier about the party, and make a gesture to Logan to say that he's going. Nicole ends up going to the party and actually meeting David.

First Nicole puts the peace pipe through David's back. Good thing he won that at the fair for her! Then sadly David is plunged through the window. You see him land on the pavement and he looks like he's dead. The reason that Steve kills him is that David and his friends are mad, because Steve trashes the place they are living in.

They decide to hurt Steve and his family. They show up at Nicole's house ready to fight and trash Nicole's house. Steve thinks they are safe because David doesn't know the security code to get in the house.

He finds out that he is wrong. Nicole had given David the code to get into the house. Eventually David gets into the house and then he starts to fight with Steve in Nicole's room. She picks up the peace pipe and stabs him through his back.Then Steve pushes him out the window and we see him fall on the cement below the house.

When David arrives at Nicole's house to take her to the carnival, he and Steve talk about Nicole's curfew. Steve tells David that Nicole's curfew is midnight and not a minute later.
