In my opinion, 'Confessions' was freakier than 'Henry' which portrayed Lucas as a cold blooded killer, but also as morally superior to his sidekick Otis. He also has a human side shown by his relationship with Becky. In 'Confessions' he is a sick, inhuman monster with no redeeming qualities.

He is completely undeserving of sympathy. If you want to see a movie that won't let you sleep, rent it. The images stay with you long after you wish they had gone.
