Yes, in the very end of the movie everybody finds out about Liz's death. When Courtney was holding one of those recorded message cards in the beginning, she was unknowingly holding down the record button when she said, "I killed Liz, I killed the teen dream, deal with it". So, to stop Courtney's evil, Julie plays the recorded message through the intercom system when Courtney is up on the stage excepting her crown.

In the end, everybody throws their corsages at Courtney.
