Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these questions is permitted in the Movies category?

Answer: Who starred in 'Titanic'?

The Movies category no longer permits questions about release date, run time, or rating. You are more than welcome to ask about cast, though.
2. Which of these questions is acceptable?

Answer: What was Brad Pitt's follow up project to 'Ocean's Eleven'?

The other options are time-dependent. They could each potentially change as Pitt's resume grows.
3. Imagine for a moment that this is a fill in the blank (FITB) question. Which of the following answers is different, in the system's eyes, from the others?

Answer: Tomorrow.

FITB answers are not case sensitive. You don't need to add to your hints anything about capitalization. You don't need to provide variations on capitalization in the answer. Punctuation is, however, acknowledged by the system.
4. Which of the following is grammatically correct?

Answer: He should have bought milk.

Lots of quizmakers write 'should of' because that's what it sounds like, but it's just lazy pronunciation of 'should have'.
5. Which of these is the correct format for a FITB answer with variations?

Answer: Jessica Alba & Alba

The ampersand must be used, with spaces on either side, for the system to recognize the answers as distinct possibilities.
6. If you want to do a multiple choice question where none or all of the answers are correct, should you use the fourth space to write 'all of the above' or 'none of the above', depending?

Answer: No

This doesn't work well at FunTrivia because you can't determine where the different answers will be in relation to one another - in other words, there might not be any answers 'above' the correct one. Instead, you should use a phrase like 'all of these' or 'none of these'.
7. Judging from the titles, which of these quizzes would most likely have been accepted as a 5-question quiz, when such quizzes were possible?

Answer: Blackface in the 40s

The other topics are so broad, that we would require at minimum ten questions. 'Blackface in the 40s', however, is a more specialized topic and more likely to have been accepted with only five questions.
8. Which of these is grammatically correct?

Answer: Hitchcock's movies generally employ suspense.

Many quizmakers seem to have a hard time with making things plural and using possessive apostrophes. You don't need an apostrophe to make a singular noun plural - you just add the 's'. You do need an apostrophe before the 's' to indicate possession.
9. Which of these names is spelled correctly?

Answer: Rachel Weisz

Please, please, please double check how to spell the names of actors and characters. If you submit a quiz with misspellings of this sort, it looks like you haven't done your research (which is probably true) and the quiz will be rejected immediately. These three are some of the most misspelled names in the Movies category. They should be Nicolas Cage, Dan Aykroyd, and Annette Bening.
10. A title from which of the following series would you be permitted to use as a FITB answer?

Answer: Lethal Weapon

When using FITB format, consider what the complete title of the film is. All the 'Harry Potter' titles exceed four words. All the 'Star Wars' and 'Lord of the Rings' titles exceed four words and call for punctuation. These will not be permitted in the FITB format. The titles in the 'Lethal Weapon' series would be accepted in the FITB format.
