The therapist, Dr. Greenbaum, had had enough of Sebastian trying to fake his way through therapy and had just told him she wouldn't see him anymore. Sebastian had already seduced and dumped her daughter, though. He later flippantly told Kathryn that he'd hooked up with Dr. Greenbaum's daughter because she was charging too much for the therapy sessions. Tara Reid played the daughter, Marci Greenbaum, in a very small role.

Annette Hargrove's father had been hired on as the new headmaster at the school that Sebastian and Kathryn attended, Manchester Prep. Sebastian thought it would do wonders for his reputation to bed the headmaster's daughter before school even started.

In addition, Annette had published a story about her virginity and her pledge to wait to have sex. Sebastian was pleased to have an additional challenge to overcome, as he was growing tired of easily getting girls to sleep with him.

If she won, Kathryn wanted Sebastian's car, a 1956 Jaguar XK140 convertible. Sebastian was reluctant to accept these terms, as he adored his car, but he was unable to pass up the deal when he heard what Kathryn would give him if he won the bet - herself. Kathryn said that she knew he'd wanted her since the day their parents got married and that it drove him crazy that she was the one girl he couldn't have, so she said Sebastian could sleep with her if he won the bet.

Cecile, played by Selma Blair, was to be starting at Manchester Prep in the fall and her mother had arranged for Kathryn to take Cecile under her wing to help her get off to a good start. Little did Mrs. Caldwell know, Kathryn had it out for Cecile because Court Reynolds dumped Katherine and pursued Cecile. Kathryn turned to Sebastian for help and asked him to seduce Cecile to ruin her reputation. Sebastian initially refused, saying that Cecile was too easy of a target, but later agreed to do it.

At first, Sebastian thought it was Annette's friend, Greg, who had warned her. Sebastian's friend Blaine first suggested this; Blaine happened to be having a secret affair with Greg. Sebastian and Blaine concocted a plan to get Greg in a compromising situation and then threaten him.

The plan worked, but Greg vehemently denied having told Annette anything. Sebastian believed him and enlisted Greg to find out who it was who had written that letter. It turned to out to have been Bunny Caldwell, Cecile's mother. Because of this, Sebastian agreed to help Kathryn with her plan to ruin Cecile.

In an attempt to change Annette's mind about him being a uncaring bad boy, Sebastian went volunteering with her and they visited with sick elderly people. Afterwards, he tried to convince her that he really enjoyed volunteering and felt good about it, but she saw right through it and got him to admit that he was putting on an act. Despite that, they did begin to grow closer.

Sebastian did win the bet but he never slept with Kathryn. She offered him his prize after he slept with Annette and won the bet, but because he'd actually fallen in love with Annette, he turned Kathryn down. In her ever-manipulative way, Kathryn taunted Sebastian for thinking he was in love and said she'd ruin Annette's reputation if he didn't break up with her. Sebastian did tell Annette he didn't love her and broke it off with her, and returned to Kathryn to collect on his prize. Kathryn then revealed to him that she knew he really was in love and had convinced him to give up his first true love, making him a loser - and she didn't sleep with losers.

Answer: He was hit by a car.

Sebastian and Ronald did get into a fight, after Kathryn told Ronald about Sebastian sleeping with Cecile. They fought in the street near Annette's building and she came upon them fighting and tried to break it up. In doing so, she was pushed into the roadway, in front of an oncoming car. Sebastian saw this and pushed her out of the way and was hit by the car.

He died after telling Annette he really did love her.

Answer: Sebastian had documented it in his journal, which he sent to Annette.

After he'd broken things off with Annette in such a cold manner, she wouldn't speak to him when he tried to go back and tell her he did love her. He sent her his journal in which he'd written all about his past misdeeds, the bet with Kathryn and his true feelings for Annette.

He'd also written about Kathryn's bad behaviour, including the fact that the crucifix she always wore around her neck was full of cocaine. Annette and Cecile passed out copies of the journal at school during Sebastian's memorial service and Kathryn was ruined.

It seemed that Annette had received possession of Sebastian's Jaguar. Having avenged Sebastian by exposing Kathryn's demons to everyone in their entourage, the movie ended with Annette driving off in the car, with Sebastian's journal on the seat beside her.
