Answer: Sir Lionel

Sir Lionel tells his daughter all about the retrieval of Excalibur by Arthur, and how it made him the king of the kingdom. Unfortunately, the envy of the king's position makes the eventual villain of our movie lunge for King Arthur, and Sir Lionel loses his life in the ensuing scuffle. (As Lionel was a character name from the TV show "The Jeffersons", you may have noticed the rest of the answers were also characters from the show as well.)

Sir Lionel was voiced by Gabriel Byrne.

Answer: Kaley

Kaley seems like more of a 20th Century name, but that's what was picked. Kaley, who is voiced by Jessalyn Gilsig, escapes an ambush made in an attempt to finagle the sword from Arthur (voiced by Pierce Brosnan). Kaley's mother is kidnapped. Kaley then starts the quest toward Camelot, that is the inspiration of the movie to free her mother.

Answer: Lord Ruber

Lord Ruber, voiced by Gary Oldman, is an evil man who will stop at nothing to obtain the Excalibur sword and thus gain the kingdom. The drawing style of Ruber instantly paints him as a ne'er-do-well.

Answer: ACME

The potion takes whatever two items were mixed in with it, and turns it into one organism. On accident, one of Kaley's chickens and an axe are thrown into the potion pit and it melded them together into a walking hatchet.

5. Our evil lord also has a large pet who makes an unsuccessful attempt at stealing Excalibur. What is this large mythological animal?

Answer: Griffin

All of the choices are hybrids of two or more animals, but it is the griffin, half lion and half eagle, that tries to steal the sword. The griffin does have a hold of it when leaving the kingdom, but a falcon interferes somewhere over the Forbidden Forest and causes the griffin to drop it.

The griffin is voiced by "Perfect Strangers'" very own Balki, Bronson Pinchot.

6. A ranger character named Garrett saves our lead character from certain death at the hands of the evil hybrid army. Garrett suffers from an affliction we soon discover. What is the malady?

Answer: Blindness

Garrett is blind. Garrett lost his sight when King Arthur's stable he was working in as a young boy caught fire. He managed to free all the horses, but he tragically received a hoof to the head from one of the exiting wild horses, and he lost his sight.

He was trained later by Sir Lionel to fight like a knight, as the knight's ability comes from the heart, not the eyes or other talents. Garrett is voiced by Cary Elwes, who played another movie hero, Westley, from "The Princess Bride".

Answer: Both of them

The dragon they befriend is actually a two-headed dragon voiced by both Eric Idle and Don Rickles. The dragon heads bicker constantly about how great it would be to be free of the other. The dragon's heads are named Devon (Idle) and Cornwall (Rickles).

Answer: Silver Wings

Aidan is a great asset to Garrett, as he often acts as Garrett's eyes. What he lacks in size he makes up for with stellar speed. He often acts as a decoy or distraction so Garrett can lay a couple of blows to weaken of finish off an opponent.

Answer: Rock Ogre

The rock ogre dwarfs the people trying to rescue the sword. In one view, Kaley grabs the sword just as the ogre opens his eye. The ogre's eye is approximately the same size as Kaley. The rock ogre blends in with the terrain so much that it is hard to determine where the ground stops and the ogre begins.

10. How is the evil lord finally vanquished in the end?

Answer: The sword is mistakenly thrust back into the magic stone, and the lord disintegrates.

Lord Ruber has gained hold of Excalibur and melded it permanently to his hand with the Acme potion. Garrett and Kaley set up a move where Ruber would thrust toward them and mistakenly hit the rock. The power of the rock reverses the curses beset by Ruber upon the kingdom, and disintegrates Lord Ruber forever.
