Answer: Franco Zeffirelli

Italian director Franco Zeffirelli was born in 1923. He was also at the helm of the 1990 film version of "Hamlet", starring Mel Gibson.
2. Which of the following Academy Awards was the film NOT nominated for?

Answer: Best Actor

It earned Zeffirelli a Best Director nomination as well. The film did not win Best Picture but it did win Best Costume Design and Best Cinematography.
3. What was the name of the actor who played Romeo?

Answer: Leonard Whiting

Leonard has not appeared in many films since "Romeo and Juliet". As of 2003 he is living at home with his wife and children
