Lee's father appears to be an alcoholic, so it is unsurprising that he becomes very drunk at the wedding. Lee had been hoping to return to a nice, normal family upon her release, but this argument, along with her father's drunkeness, helps to push her back towards self harming.

Lee practices touch-typing, while her paper is covered so that she cannot see how well she has done. She recites to herself, while typing: "My flowers had just about given up in despair, so with the exception of a few potted plants from the florist, we're flowerless for the first spring in years".

Answer: Washing dishes

Lee is washing dishes in the sink, and tries to take advantage of a small window of opportunity while her mother's back is turned. Despite the fact that she has been cutting herself for many years by this point, she accidentally cuts too deep, and causes herself serious damage. It is this incident which ultimately leads to her being sent to the institution.

Answer: Tax Office

Lee imagines that she is being interviewed at the Municipal Tax Office. She knows that having no prior experience puts her at a disadvantage, so she practices a speech stating that this would be an ideal place to start her career. Lee is very excited by the prospect of getting a job - possibly because it will be the first time she has been allowed to do something by herself.

Answer: Typing

During the interview, Mr Grey fires a number of questions at Lee, particularly about her home life. He asks her if she is pregnant, or if she intends to be, whether she lives with her parents, has any siblings, etc. She does not get much chance to use her well-rehearsed speech, and is somewhat thrown by Mr Grey's manner.

Answer: I want to be bored.

Lee is determined to secure this job, and refuses to be put off by Mr Grey's comments. He tells her that he does not want a paralegal, he wants a typist who will make coffee and do as she's told. Lee responds by telling him that she is not worried by dull work - she relishes it.

Answer: Too much sugar

Mr Grey later complains that another cup of coffee does not have enough sugar - it's possible he is only criticizing Lee purely for the sake of it. While preparing the coffee, Lee has to struggle to load a heavy water bottle into the machine, pouring it all over herself in the process. Despite the difficulties she has with this small task, she manages to get the job.

Answer: Search through the garbage and find the notes

At his request, Lee happily climbs into the skip in the yard and searches through each bag of garbage until she eventually finds the notes. When she returns to the office, Mr Grey tells her that he no longer needs them - he's found another copy. This is one of the events which makes Mr Grey realise just how far he can push Lee without her rebelling or refusing.

Answer: Submissive

Mr Grey hides as soon as Tricia arrives. When she is unable to see him, Tricia becomes angry, and tells Lee to make sure he signs the settlement. She instantly recognises that Lee is a submissive person, and realises that this is why Mr Grey had hired her.

Answer: He had a nervous breakdown.

When hearing about his breakdown, Lee responds with "Me too", but doesn't really elaborate. Peter has known Lee for some time, and clearly likes her a great deal, but Lee is too enamoured with Mr Grey to allow herself to really fall in love with Peter.
