'The Hand That Rocks The Cradle' Pt. 2 Quiz

This is the scene where Marlene is warning Claire about Peyton's position in her home and trying to remember that old saying "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world." Marlene told Marty and Michael she got over $300,000 on her sale of the Fletcher house. Later she tells Claire she has to show the same house, but what she is really doing is secretly meeting with Claire's husband to plan her surprise party.

Answer: fur

The 'sculpture' is unidentifiable, but Emma is sure Solomon will be able to see what she has made. He asks her if the top is the head or the foot, but Emma replies that it is part of the fur. Peyton joins them, dismisses Emma, and then threatens Solomon to not reveal what he has seen through the window. He cries and declares he will not allow her to hurt the Bartels.

Answer: batteries

After the family presents Solomon with a beautiful green bicycle, Peyton decides she needs to go ahead and get rid of him. She plants a pair of Emma's underwear inside his cart and prompts Claire to search it for some batteries for Joe's baby monitor. Claire finds them and suspects the worse because Peyton implanted the suspicion of impropriety within her days earlier. Solomon leaves their home, but does not stop watching over them.

Answer: Auditorium

The sign is clearly visible as Claire drives up to the place. She comes home from the cleaners extremely shaken up, not knowing that all her friends are there to give her a surprise party. Julianne Moore plays Claire and Michael's long time friend Marlene Craven.

Answer: 4:45 am

The first time she sets it to go off early it is set for 3:00 am. She does that one so she can get up early to breast feed baby Joe. This time she sets it to kill Claire, but Claire does not go into the greenhouse first. Marlene goes into the greenhouse looking for Claire and is kill by the shattered glass that pours down on her.

Answer: 3

She tries the one in a drawer by her phone as she dials 9-1-1. Then she pulls out a kitchen drawer looking for another one. Finally she spots her purse on the ground just outside the door of the greenhouse and goes after it. She collapses in her pursuit of that last one, but the emergency call she made earlier pays off.

Unfortunately since the situation was not emergent, they were not sending a car right away. Things changed very quickly, though, when she got back into their house and tried to steal the baby. Claire dials 9-1-1 this time, and Peyton attacks her with a shovel.

Answer: fireplace poker

Peyton had abandoned the garden shovel when she entered the nursery. Emma quickly shut the door and locked it, leaving the key in the key hole. The nursery had its own fireplace, so Peyton picked a poker to use on the door. She carried that poker as her weapon all the way until the final battle in the attic.

Answer: Sony

When Peyton follows Joe's cries into the master bedroom closet, she finds out that Emma has left the Sony baby receiver inside to trick her. The word Sony is very easy to see in this scene.

Answer: Claire

After a brief struggle, Claire sends Peyton out of the window. Peyton was beating Solomon, who was holding Joe, with that darn fireplace poker and Claire attacked her. Afterward Claire tells Solomon she trusts him and allows him to 'handle the baby'. I hope you enjoyed this two part quiz on one of my favorite movies!
