This was a great movie to launch his career but it seems that he made only a couple of other movies, that were not well received. His most notable was probably 'Jaws, The Revenge', where he played Michael Brody.

We see the name of the trailer park at the beginning of the movie. It is on a large neon sign. The area where this part of the film was made was an abandoned trailer park and store called, 'Rio', located in Canyon Country, S. California.

Once Alex set the high record, this led to his recruitment as a starfighter for real!

Answer: Centauri

At first, Centauri appears human, but we find out that he is in fact an alien wearing a human mask. This part was played by the wonderful, Robert Preston, famous for the movie, 'The Music Man'. Of course, he acted in many other films too. This sadly, was his last movie.

Answer: Rylos

Centauri takes Alex to Rylos to become a starfighter, as it was his idea to put the Starfighter game on Earth, to look for new recruits. Alex is told where he is going, during his space flight with Centauri.

Answer: Grig

Grig is a friendly, reptilian navigator that trains Alex to become a starfighter, in one of the Gunstars. He was portrayed by actor, Dan O'Herlihy.

Answer: Gung Ho Iguana

After the destruction of the Rylos fleet of Gunstars, Alex says - 'I'm about to get killed a million miles from nowhere, with a Gung Ho Iguana!'.

Answer: Xur

Xur is from Rylos originally but turns against them, as he has been promised that he would rule Rylos after their destruction. Xur is the son of Ambassador Enduran. Xur was played by actor Norman Snow.

Answer: Ko-Dan Armada

This is as in the Starfighter game that Alex played on Earth, the introduction of that game says it all. Once on Rylos, he is attending a meeting of fellow recruits, and the Ambassador says, "Greetings starfighters. You have been recruited by the Star League, to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada". Alex realises that this is exactly the same introduction as the video game. Lord Kril was played by actor, Dan Mason.

Answer: Death Blossom

This weapon is an advancement on the normal Gunstar weapons, that would be used to fully destroy the Ko-Dan Armada. It does, however, make me feel sick, as it rotates and spins every which way, but to great effect.

Answer: Louis

Louis is a typical little boy who has a rough time of it for a while, during his brother's absence, thanks to the Alex's replacement! Here is a piece of useless information for you, Wil Wheaton played the part of his best friend, but the part was cut from the movie, so he was never seen! Good trivial information, in case it pops up in another quiz! The part of Louis was played by Chris Hebert.

Answer: Beta Unit

This android is brought by Centauri when he comes for Alex and, as soon as the two have shaken hands, there is a small electric charge between them. Beta gets out of the car, and begins his transformation into the Alex replica. This causes no end of problems for everyone back on Earth!

Answer: Maggie

Eventually Beta has to reveal all to Maggie. She accepts that the Beta unit is not the real Alex, when he drives a truck into a ship that is transmitting to Xur, and that Alex is indeed, in space somewhere. This part was played by Catherine Mary Stewart.

Answer: Xandoxans

The Xandoxans are assassins in the service of Xur. One of them arrives to kill Alex before he can leave for Rylos and attack the armada. Alex is joined by Beta to repel this attack but Centauri is shot in the process. However he manages to kill the Xandoxan in the attempt. Soon after Alex tells Maggie that he is in fact a Beta unit, steals a pick-up truck and drives it into the Xandoxan ship, blowing it up, thus preventing the transmission to Xur.

The part of the alien is played by actor Marc Alaimo.

Answer: Barbara Bosson

She went on to many other roles. In 'Hill Street Blues' (which was written by her then husband, Steven Bochco) she played Fay Furillo. They were married from 1970 to 1997.
