Answer: The Hangover

Doug is heading to the alter, but first he needs a bachelor party with his two friends and soon to be new brother-in-law. What was supposed to be a fun Vegas get together became the wildest night on the strip. The bachelor is missing and it's up to the three guys to locate him and get him to his wedding on time. Make sure you watch the ending credits.

The movie also featured Heather Graham, Ken Jeong, Mike Tyson and Zach Galifianakis, who was most convincing in his role of the unique brother in law.

Answer: Rain Man

It must have been difficult to select an Oscar between the two great actors in this movie who teamed up, Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Dustin went over and above, playing the role of Raymond Babbitt, the autistic brother of Charlie. As they traveled by car across the country they stopped in Vegas, where they put 'card counting' to the test.

The movie was beautifully put together by Oscar worthy director, Barry Levinson. You just know that the two brothers will be a family and together for a lifetime at the end of the movie.

Answer: Honeymoon In Vegas

I have always enjoyed James Caan in comedies and this one was a winner. Jack, played by Cage takes Betsy, played by Sarah Jessica Parker to Las Vegas. One small poker game with Caan is a 'card changer' so to speak. I had to chuckle at the cameo of Jerry Tarkanian, known as "Tark the Shark" by Vegas people. Tark, who was known for chewing on towels during basketball games, was the coach for UNLV. The best part of the entire movie is when Jack is beaten by a higher straight flush, which forces him into asking his girlfriend to spend a weekend with Caan, to pay off his large debt.

Just curious if you know the odds of a straight flush beating another straight flush? I would say it's probably easier to win the lottery!

Answer: Ocean's Eleven

Danny Ocean just got out of prison and not only wants to win big in Vegas, but is hoping to win his ex wife back too. Danny decides to not just win, but to steal a few million for him and his friends. The group of 11 decide to tackle the Bellagio Casino vault to take their loot!

I love the group that they selected for the roles for the remake, "Ocean's 11". Julia Roberts, playing the role of Tess Ocean was played by Angie Dickinson in the original. By the way, he does 'win' her heart again too, along with a nice chunk of change.

Answer: Diamonds are Forever

James hits the casinos and plays craps in "Diamonds Are Forever" as he learns more about a diamond case. Not to be confused with Tiffany Case who was played by Jill St. John. Some of the fun scenes are filmed in the classic Circus Circus Casino on the strip.

A casino that used to have animals inside and elephants would pull the slot machine handles with their trunks. As always James saves the world and Washington DC from the evil Blofeld.

Answer: Honey, I Blew Up the Kid

Rick played the role of the crazy scientist, Wayne Szalinski a few times. This particular movie was filmed in Las Vegas and the child that was "blown up" was their two year old son, Adam. After a mistake of making his son bigger, Adam takes a stroll around downtown Las Vegas in larger form. Of course, dad comes to the rescue with blowing up, Mom!

On a personal note, it was cute to see this mammoth sneaker by the guitar of the Hard Rock Cafe. It was a perfect set up for the blown up child to play the massive guitar.

Answer: Mars Attacks!

The Landmark Casino is, or I should say was, a great hotel. Towering 31 stories tall it closed its doors in 1990 after 30 years. The Landmark was the first casino to be imploded and was selected to make its implosion for the movie that featured some big names including Jack Nicholson, as the President. Michael J. Fox and Danny Devito were also some of the big names that starred in the movie.

The crazy movie is about Martians that come to Earth, killing everyone in their path. How did they kill the Martians? A song by Slim Whitman seemed to do the trick.

Tim Burton again came up with a quirky yet dark comedy and making a success of it.

Answer: Pay It Forward

Haley played the role of Trevor McKinney, who lives with his single mother, Arlene. Arlene is played by Helen Hunt. Trevor decided to create the "pay it forward" theme for his school project. It seems to work as he helps people and people help other people. Sadly at the end of the movie, little Trevor is stabbed and loses his life. His mother and teacher, played by Spacey are standing in the doorway of her Las Vegas home, as people are showing their respect for her son. A very touching and wonderful movie about how you can make a difference by paying it forward.

Answer: Rat Race

This star studded movie is full of greed! Each of the contestants who won a particular coin are asked to come to a suite to redeem their prize. The prize of course is the race to the finish line, being a locker in New Mexico. Each of them feels it's a joke, for awhile anyhow, and then race each other to the locker. Each of the cast is hilarious in their own accord, but my favorite would be Vince Vieluf who played Blaine Cody, the brother to Duane, played by Seth Green. Blaine had a new ring put in his tongue and it was slightly infected. I loved how he played the role of the silly brother with his love and antics.

Answer: Vegas Vacation

Now this movie I can personally tell you about since I was actually an extra in the movie. At first the kids are excited about going to the casinos and seeing the lights and glitter until they spot the "21 and over" sign. Rusty and Audrey were not happy about this. Rusty finds a fake ID and hits the strip and starts winning like crazy. Unfortunately his father has just the opposite luck, while his sister discovers dancing in the strip clubs. Where is Ellen Griswold when all of this is happening? Well, with Wayne Newton of course.

The movie is a fun display of what really does happen in casinos. Losing to the dealer, having the dealer laugh at you. Losing all your hard earned money. Don't expect Sid Caesar to bail you out at the end though.
