David Denman played Brian Murphy, a deaf Tight End for the Sentinels, who scored the winning touchdown in the game against Dallas. He was also the person Shane Falco stuck up for when they were in the bar fight with Eddie Martel.

At the very end of the Dallas game, Shane ran the ball to try to win the game but the touchdown didn't count because Jumbo was called on a penalty. They had to redo the play and fortunately Brian was able to get a touchdown and the Washington Sentinels won the game!
