Tying a beetle up like that for amusement isn't my idea of fun.
As Rowan Morrison's schoolfriend said, "Poor old thing".
Sgt Howie: "Then why in God's name do you do it girl?"

It's pretty hard to imagine anyone else playing the part as well as Edward Woodward. The same goes for Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter, John Hurt as John Merrick (the Elephant Man) and Richard Attenborough as Reg Christie.

I totally agree with that statement, any other actor couldn't play the role of Lord Summerisle with more conviction. I think you could see from his performance that this was more than just another role.
He's still THE Count Dracula for me.

I think Sgt Howie finally understood what May Morrison meant.
True sacrifice for her meant something entirely different to what he thought. (for those who haven't seen the movie, I won't reveal what true sacrifice means.)
