During Tony's interview with American immigration authorities, when asked about his parents, Tony told them that they were both dead. He never would reveal the truth to any authority figure. He wanted to see his younger sister Gina, very badly, so here he was, outside their door. Tony's mother was not at all happy to see him, not after no word from him in five years.

She viewed her son's visit, with much disdain and let him know it.
