According to Internet Movie Data Base, Terry Gilliam rejected directing "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" because it seemed to be too difficult. Mr. Gilliam directed "Brazil", "Time Bandits" and wrote the "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" screenplay. He was the only American Monty Python member.
