Although the Japanese characters call her Cio-Cio-San, to B.F. Pinkerton, she was "Butterfly".

In "La Boheme", Musetta played the part of gold-digger to the old and rich Alcindoro. She 'ditched' him after reuniting with Marcello.

Lauretta is left alone with her lover Rinuccio as the opera ends. In an unusual twist, the duet is followed by the lead character, Gianni Schicci, directly speaking (not singing) to the audience, asking for applause!
