Founded by Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and original drummer Scott Raynor in Poway, California in 1992, Blink-182 are one of the most successful rock bands of all-time. "Everytime I Look For You" is taken from their 2001 album "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket", and plays right at the start of the movie as the Universal logo appears, and continues as we see an external shot of the college Jim (played by Jason Biggs) is attending.
2. "Flavor of the Weak"

Incorporating a mixture of pop punk, alternative rock, and power pop in their music, US rock band American Hi-Fi were formed in 1998 in Boston, Massachusetts. Released as their debut single from their self-titled debut album in 2001, "Flavor of the Weak" plays in the background during Stifler's party just after Stifler (played by Seann William Scott) chases Finch (played by Eddie Kaye Thomas) out of Stifler's Mom's room.
3. "Fat Lip"

Originally called Kaspir, Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band that were formed in Ontario in 1996. Their 2001 single "Fat Lip" is the first single taken from their debut studio album "All Killer No Filler", and plays as our five main male characters are seen driving to the beach house they have rented in Grand Harbor where they are going to spend the summer. Sum 41's other 2001 single "In Too Deep" also features in the movie, and plays during the party towards the end of the movie.
4. "Hash Pipe"

American rock band Weezer were formed in 1992 in Los Angeles, and released their self-titled debut album (which is also known as the "Blue Album") in 1994. "Hash Pipe" was released as the lead single from the band's third studio album, which was also self-titled, and also known as the "Green Album".

The song plays as Stifler goes into the house that the guys are painting to look for "lesbian artefacts", believing that the girls who live in the house are lesbians.
5. "Everywhere"

American singer-songwriter Michelle Branch was born on 2nd July 1983. Released in 2001, "Everywhere" was her debut single, and it plays as we see the main male characters preparing for the end-of-summer party in their own unique ways.
6. "Smooth Criminal"

"Smooth Criminal" was written by Michael Jackson and originally released as the seventh single from his seventh studio album "Bad" in 1988. American rock band Alien Ant Farm released a cover version of the single in 2001, and it is their version that is played in the movie as we see Jim struggle to deal with a self-inflicted supergluing incident.
7. "Want You Bad"

American rock band The Offspring, who were originally called Manic Subsidal, were formed in Garden Grove, California in 1984. "Want You Bad" is taken from their sixth studio album "Conspiracy of One", and plays during the montage in which we see Michelle (played by Alyson Hannigan) pretending to be Jim's girlfriend to allow Jim time to "heal" before he tries to get with Nadia (played by Shannon Elizabeth), as well as footage of the other characters relaxing during the lead up to the party.

Punk rock group Toilet Boys were formed in New York City in 1995, and are known for their elaborate and energetic stage shows. "Another Day in the Life" is a track on their second album "Living Like a Millionaire", and plays at the start of the end-of-summer party at the boys' beach house.

Rock band New Found Glory were formed in Coral Springs, Florida in 1997. "Hit or Miss" was their debut single, and it plays as we see Jim, Oz (played by Chris Klein), Finch, and Kevin (played by Thomas Ian Nicholas) walking back to the party after Jim, Oz, and Finch have cheered Kevin up after he was upset at seeing Vicky (played by Tara Reid) with another man at the party.
10. "Be Like That"

American rock band 3 Doors Down, who were formed in Mississippi in 1996, rose to prominence in 2000 with their first single, "Kryptonite", which reached number one in the US Mainstream Rock chart, and number three in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their 2001 single "Be Like That" plays as Jim interrupts Michelle's flute solo at Tall Oaks to show her that he is in love with her.
