Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. My first quiz ever was about hamburgers. It asked which meat is usually used to cook them in the biggest burger chains. That quiz, of course, would not have existed if someone hadn't created the hamburger, and though there were a lot of claims to have invented it, only one person is credited with the creation of the cheeseburger. Who is he?

Answer: Oscar Weber Bilby

Although Weber Bilby is almost undisputedly known as the cheeseburger creator, the inventor of the hamburger is yet unknown. The Library of Congress of the United States once declared Lassen first sold the hamburger as a steak sandwich, and then, when sailors from Hamburg, Germany arrived at the place, they named the dish for their city. The Library of Congress also said these claims were subject to dispute.

I remember when I wrote my first quiz, "The Great American Hamburger", it was an Author's Challenge and I simply decided to start writing, out of nowhere. Look where that decision got me! My Interesting Information section was very short back then, but I learned from that quiz how other quizzes should look like. It wasn't a bad start, after all!
2. I'll skip two quizzes and get to my fourth online quiz, about art movements. Writing this quiz not only made me learn more about art movements, but about the ones who started them too! Which of these artists was a representative of realism?

Answer: Gustave Courbet

"Young Woman From The Village" and "Sea Coast in Normandy" are just two of Courbet's great works. He is regarded as one of the most important realists.

I based that quiz on some notes I had from a History class I took in school, and those little notes amazingly turned into a whole quiz!
3. My seventh quiz was about Bernie Taupin, a very talented songwriter. For whom did he notably write songs for?

Answer: Elton John

The title of that quiz was "The One Who Writes the Words for Elton John", as that was the name of a book he released in 1973, which contained many of his lyrics written for John. Taupin also wrote "We Built This City" for "Starship".

Inspiration for this quiz was drawn from reading a random article in Wikipedia. You never know where you can end when visiting Wikipedia!
4. My eight quiz online is about the Massacre of Tlatelolco, when the President of Mexico ordered the murder of hundreds of students protesting before the Olympics took place in Mexico. Who was the President of Mexico when the Massacre of Tlatelolco happened?

Answer: Gustavo Diaz Ordaz

The Massacre of Tlatelolco occurred in 1968 in the Tlatelolco Square, when students protesting against government repression were shot massively. Echeverria was the minister of the interior at that time, and some say he ordered the killings. However, he was elected President when Diaz Ordaz term ended.

I wish this tragedy had never happened, but now it has, it is our duty to preserve the memory of it, so it doesn't happen again.
5. I also wrote a quiz on an Argentinian piano player and composer. Which composer, who created "Corazon de Niņo", is he?

Answer: Raul Di Blasio

I wrote "Give It Up For The Great Raul Di Blasio" right after playing his hit "Corazon de Niņo", or "Child's Heart" on the piano. Di Blasio practiced for 12 hours every day, and he achieved great international success.

He has played with artists like fellow pianist Richard Clayderman and Mexican musician Marco Antonio Solis.
6. My first quiz to get sunnies and be one of the 23,000 highest rated quizzes in FunTrivia was called "Cooking With Octopus", which was an Author's Challenge. Who is known as the "octopus man" because of having 4 arms?

Answer: Rudy Santos

Rudy Santos is Filipino who suffers from a strange condition called "parasitic twin". As a result of it, he has an extra leg, arms, shoulders and extra nipples as well, which got him the nickname of "octopus man".

"Cooking With Octopus" explored how to cook an octopus and different ways its eaten around the world, including Japan, where live octopus seasoned with sesame seeds is a common dish.
7. My thirteenth quiz was also my first collaboration with the Quiz Author's Lounge. "Hopeless Wanderer" was written for the "Mumford & Sons Babel Challenge". Who is the main singer of Mumford & Sons?

Answer: Marcus Mumford

Marcus Mumford formed Mumford & Sons in late 2007 along with Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane. They reached real fame in 2011 and 2012, when they released "Babel", their second album.

"Hopeless Wanderer" was about different wars in history for kids, made not too difficult for a child to understand but not too easy, so that it could still be challenging.
8. August 16 is my FunTrivia Birthday, the day I joined this wonderful site, which inspired me to write a quiz about different historical happenings on August 16. Which of these people passed away on an August 16?

Answer: Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley was an iconic rockstar, who is now known as the "King of Rock & Roll". He sang many hits like "You Were Always On My Mind" and "Viva Las Vegas".

Presley died on August 16, 1977 after a drug overdose.
9. My first team quiz was written with the team "Triviabiz", with me as the project manager. We did a unique mix of questions spelling out the name of our team. One of the questions asked about a science-fiction author who wrote "Cat's Cradle". Who is he?

Answer: Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut was a very recognized short story author. He wrote works kike "Cat's Cradle", "Breakfast of Champions" and "Slaughterhouse-Five".

He died on 2007 after falling from a stairway in his home and suffering head trauma.
10. Finally we are here, in my 50th quiz, and I thought I needed my last question to be about one of my most successful quizzes, "Rush Hour For Dummies", which has ranked as the 442nd best quiz in FunTrivia! Which of these, however, did NOT act in the movie?

Answer: Adam Sandler

"Rush Hour" was released in 1998, and starred Chris Tucker as Detective Carter, Jackie Chan as Detective Inspector Lee and Tom Wilkinson as Juntao, leader of a criminal organization.

Adam Sandler did not act in this movie but has appeared in several other comedy movies such as "That's My Boy" and "You Don't Mess With the Zohan".
